I was feeling lonely, so I decided to invite my mom's side of the family over for dinner. By the time that they had arrived, dinner was already ready and everything was clean.

"This is so good," Andy told me.

"Thanks, my mom helped me make it," I smiled.

"How's Kurt doing?" Harry walked up to me and asked.

I gave Melissa one of her cheerios and then turned to face Harry. "He's doing well."

"It's a shame he couldn't be here."

"I know, but it's alright."

"Mom!" Lorelai ran up to me. "Can Nicole spend the night?"

"Who's Nicole?!" I asked.

"One of Travis's and Gretchen's kids," Harry replied.

"If it's alright with her mom," I told Lorelai. "Let me talk to her."

"Yay!" Lorelai ran off.

I smiled. "I'm glad she has some kids her age. It's been hard with her home-schooling and not being able to be around kids her age."

"Are you and Kurt doing better?" Harry asked.

"You seem oddly infatuated with my husband," I joked.

"Can you blame me?"

"No, I can't. Um, we're doing better, yeah. He's on tour again, so it's really hard. Lorelai's older now and she's been missing him, too. Last night, she was crying because she missed him. I would've shown her some videos of him, but Kurt took the video camera with him."

"That fucker," Harry joked.

"Ruby, your phone is ringing," Gretchen placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Okay," I stood up. "Can you feed Melissa for me, then?"

"Of course."

I grabbed the phone and went upstairs into my bedroom and shut the door behind me.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Ruby, what the fuck happened yesterday?" Kurt asked.

"Hello to you, too," I sarcastically said. "We're already starting off the phone call with negativity. This is exactly what I needed."

"Did I do something?"

"That was so fucking rude of you to announce to everyone that your wife thinks you're cheating on her. News flash, Kurt! I don't!"

"I'm sorry, Ruby. God, I'm sorry."

"I can't deal with this right now. My family is literally downstairs and we're all having dinner."

"I miss you."

"Kurt, I miss you, too."

"Can we please just talk for a couple of minutes?"

"Sure," I sat down on the edge of my bed. "How's touring going?"

"It's going good, Ruby. How are my girls-including you?"

I chuckled softly. "We're good, Kurt. Lorelai was crying last night because she missed you."

"You give her a big kiss for me and tell her I love her so much."

"I will, Kurt."

"And how's Mommy doing?"

"Don't call me that!" I laughed hard.
