Chapter 45: NEW PROM QUEEN

                   KOURTNEY POV;

         WHEN Ellaine pulled Keanna's hair I pushed her.

“What the hell?!” she shouted.

Buti nalang medyo malakas ang music kaya yung iba di naririnig ang away na nangyayari dito sa pwesto namin.

“Bakit mo suot yan?! That's queen Ellaine dress!” sigaw kay Keanna ng isa sa mga minions ni Ellaine.

“I told her to wore it, have you forgotten? You guys are the reason why her dress wet” sabat ko na kaya tiningnan ako ng masama ni Ellaine.

“How could you decide?! That's not even your dress!” she shouted at me.

“Owww,” saad ko na kunwari nalulungkot ako.

And she looked at Keanna. “Take it off you ugly nerd!”

Susugurin nya sana si Keanna, pero hinarangan sya ni kuya Harie.

“Touch her, and you'll be dead”seryosong saad ni kuya Harie.

“Excuse, why don't you take off yours and exchanged it with her, or try to wear her dress kanina para mafeel mo yung na feel nya kanina ng tapunan nyo sya sa tubig?” I interrupt.

“OMG! Ganon naba kayo kademonyo?” tugon naman ni Tiffany.

“Y-You!! You'll pay for this!” she said and pointed at me.

“Well, should I wait for it?” sarcastic na tugon ko.

She stormed off with her minions. I turned to my friends and they all looked shocked.

“Guys” Saad ko saka winagay-way ang kamay ko sa harapan nila.

“Wow, ang cool mo don,” Eugene said.

I just chuckled. Ilang sandali pa ay i-aanounce nadaw ng student president yung Queen for tonights prom. I know it's going be her again. Ellaine the witch!

“OKAY! Ready naba kayong malaman kung sino ang for tonights Queen prom!?” malakas na saad ng student president.

“YEESSS!” Ganting sigaw naman ng mga students.

“I know it's gonna be Ellaine, 'cause she's stunning. No one can beat her beauty” rinig kong saad ng nasa gilid naming students.

“Sana hindi na. I hate her personality, can't you see? She's bossing us around,” saad naman ng kausap nya.

Umiling-iling lang ako sa narinig ko saka uminom ng wine, lahat naman yata dito nasa legal aged na para uminom.

“Kung kanino huminto ang spotlight, ibig sabihin sya ang ating Queen prom” saad ulit ng president.

Lahat nag aaban kung kanino hihinto ang spotlight, ako walang pakialam. When suddenly, bigla nalang lumiwanag ang pwesto ko. At yun pala nasaakin yun spotlight, means sakin huminto.

“And there's she is! Our new prom Queen” Tugon ulit ni president.

Halos lahat ng students nakangiting nakatingin sakin. Except Axia, and her minions. Especially Ellaine, mukha hindi nya gusto ang resulta. Nagulat ako ng muling tumugtug ng malakas. At nakita ko si Ellaine papalapit sakin and grab my hair, I pulled her hair too. And we got into a huge fight.

Inawat naman kami ng mga kaibigan ko pati narin ni Eroll at nung special guest, pati narin ang president namin.  Shoot! How embarrassing.

“What is happening here!?” tanong ni miss Kendal.

I snatched the mic and the crown from the president.

“You obsessedly want this?! Then its all yours, but let me tell you that our schoolmates know what kind of girl you are! A girl who can't accept na napalitan sya ng isang katulad ko!” at yun na nga hindi ko na napigilan ang emotion ko.

Punong-puno na kasi ako sa ugali ng babaeng 'to. As I'm about to throw it right in front of Ellaine someone push me aside gently.

“Stop bossing us around Ellaine, you're not longer our Queen. And don't you dare hurt our new Queen” tugon ng student na pinatabi ako.

“Oo nga, at isa pa wala ka namang ginawang maganda simula ng maging prom Queen ka. You always treating us like a garbage.” sabi naman ng kasama nya.

As that Keanna stepped forward and slap Ellaine so hard, that made us gasp.

“That, for making my life miserable for my 2 years of staying here” she said and she slap Ellaine again but this time on the right cheek. “And that, for all the students that you bullied”

I stopped Keanna when I saw ma'am Mitch walking towards us. Wow! Keanna was very cool. How could she slapped Ellaine like that? And now, parang nag blush on si Ellaine sa sobrang pula ng pisngi nito.

“Is everything okay here?” tanong ni ma'am Mitch.

“Yes ma'am. We're just having a talk about miss former prom Queen behavior” Miss Kendal said.

“Should I handle it for you miss Valeria?”

“No maam, we can fix it. And you should go back to your fellow professor,”

“Well, just call me if you need anything miss Valeria”

“Yes ma'am” tugon naman ni Miss Kendal.

Agad din namang umalis si maam Mitch and miss Kendal turn to Ellaine na umiiyak na ngayon. Naaawa ako sakanya pero yung ginawa nya mali talaga. I can give her my position as prom Queen, pero alam ng buong students na hindi na sya yun. At alam kong mag iiba ang pakikitungo sakanya ng iba.

“So miss former Queen, I hoped that you already learned your lesson today” sabi ni miss Kendal kay Ellaine.

Nakayuko lang ito habang umiiyak. May tug-tug naman pero sapat na para magkarinigan kami ng hindi sumisigaw.

“Agawin mo man ang crown on this young lady, it will never change the fact that she's the chosen one to be a prom Queen tonight.” tugon nya pa.

I can feel her saying was sincerely. Walang halong echos para magustuhan sya ng ibang students. She's popular enough para mag pasikat pa dito.

“Accept that not all things go the way you wanted. Sometimes it change based on how you treat others, miss former Queen try to be kind to others so that they can give you some respect too. It's not too late for you, I know there's still a good heart left in you, you just being too blind to share it. And to all the students here, just try to understand miss Former Queen” she advice on Ellaine.

Sh*t! Ang ganda nya pa mag advice. I looked at Ellaine pero nakatingin lang sya sa baba habang umiiyak. Atsaka naglakad palayo doon. I feel bad for her, but somehow I feel relieved.

“Okay, let's all go back to the party!” tugon ni miss Kendal.

Ginawa naman ng lahat na nagsimulang magsayawan, mag usap at mag tawanan.

“Congratulations miss Prom Queen” bati pa sakin ng special guest namin.

Whew! This was my memorable day. I'm literally speechless right now.

“OMG! Thank you so much” parang kinikilig na tugon ko.

Saka nya ako inabutan ng calling card kaya nagtataka akong tumingin sakanya.

“Bakit po?”

“Let's be friend, tawagan moko if you need some advice from me. Kahit ano payan”

“Yayy! Thank you po!” I said.

Saka namamanghang tumingin sa calling card nya. Yun inis ko kanina nawala because of her. She smiled at me so I smiled back.
