General Information:
Euphemia Lily "Mia" Potter is a half-blood witch and one of the most famous magical figures of modern history. Born on July 31st, 1980, in Godric's Hollow, she is the younger twin sister of Harry Potter, the youngest child and only daughter of James and Lily Potter. From the moment of her birth, Mia's life was shaped by forces far beyond her control.
Her existence was overshadowed by a prophecy foretelling that either Mia Potter, Harry Potter, or Neville Longbottom would possess the power to vanquish Lord Voldemort, the most feared Dark Wizard of the age. When Severus Snape relayed only half of the prophecy to Voldemort, both Mia and Harry were marked as potential threats due to their shared circumstances and striking similarities to the Dark Lord himself.
On the night Voldemort attacked the Potter family, Mia was exposed to the Killing Curse alongside her brother. Though she survived, the curse had a profound and lasting impact. Rather than merely rebounding, the magic interacted violently with power Mia had unknowingly possessed since birth, Chaos Magic, a rare, volatile form of magic tied to emotion, instinct, and destruction as much as creation. The encounter amplified her abilities dramatically, leaving her magic unpredictable and dangerously powerful from an early age.
Following the attack, the Potters were forced into hiding, and Mia spent much of her early childhood shielded from the wizarding world, her identity and abilities closely guarded for her own safety.
Mia attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1991 to 1998, where she was Sorted into Gryffindor House. Though initially shy and withdrawn upon arrival, she quickly came into her own as Hogwarts became her true home.
She formed an inseparable bond with her brother Harry and soon became best friends with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, the four becoming a tightly knit group known for their loyalty, bravery, and repeated involvement in major events of the Second Wizarding War.
Mia proved herself to be exceptionally talented from her first year, becoming the youngest Seeker in a century when she earned a spot on the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Her natural flying ability, sharp reflexes, and fearless instincts made her a formidable player and a crowd favourite.
Throughout her schooling, Mia grew into one of the most popular and talked-about students at Hogwarts. She was widely known for her quick wit, sharp intelligence, biting sarcasm, and unapologetic confidence. While her fame often followed her unwillingly due to her connection to the prophecy and her brother, Mia carved out her own reputation, not just as The Girl Who Lived, but as a powerful, brilliant witch in her own right.
Physical Appearance:
Euphemia Potter is striking in a way that feels effortless rather than intentional. She looks almost uncannily like her mother, Lily Potter — the same delicate bone structure, soft features, and expressive face that gives away her emotions far too easily. From her father, however, she inherited piercing, brilliant blue eyes, bright and mischievous, sharp enough to feel like they see straight through people. They are often described as startling, too alive for someone who has seen as much as she has.
Mia is petite, standing at just 5'2", with a slim yet softly hourglass figure that she's never particularly aware of. Her skin is pale and dusted with freckles across her nose and cheeks, more noticeable when she laughs or blushes. Her lips are naturally pink, often tugged into a smirk or curled with sarcasm long before she realises it.
Her ginger hair falls in loose, natural waves, usually worn down in a way that looks careless but somehow always suits her. On practical days, she ties it back into plaited pigtails or messy braids, especially for flying or training. She never fusses with it, vanity was never something she learned.
Outside of her Hogwarts robes, Mia dresses like she's permanently prepared to run, fight, or disappear. Hoodies swallowed her frame, paired with shorts or worn-in jeans, battered trainers, and faded T-shirts. Dresses make her visibly uncomfortable; anything restrictive feels like a trap. Her style is unapologetically tomboyish, functional, familiar, safe.
Personality:
Mia Potter is a study in contrasts.
When she first arrives at Hogwarts, she is quiet, reserved, and guarded, carrying Surrey and survival in her bones. She watches more than she speaks. Trust does not come easily, she learned early that silence keeps you safe. In those early years, she is shy, withdrawn, and deeply wary of attention, despite the fame that clings to her like a curse.
But once she feels safe, once Hogwarts becomes home, James Potter's daughter emerges in full force.
Mia is sharp-tongued, sarcastic, cocky, and infuriatingly clever. Her wit is fast and often brutal, her humour dry and unapologetic. She swears like a sailor when she's comfortable, laughs too loud, and challenges authority on instinct alone. She thrives on verbal sparring and has a habit of poking people just to see if they'll bite. Rules are suggestions. Detention is a rite of passage.
She is fiercely independent and stubborn to a fault, hating the idea of being protected or pitied. Like her father, she masks fear with bravado and pain with humour, except Mia's edge cuts a little deeper. Where James was reckless for fun, Mia is reckless because she doesn't always care if she makes it out unscathed.
She is intensely loyal. Once someone earns her trust, she would burn the world down for them without hesitation. Ron and Hermione quickly become her anchor, her chosen family, and Harry remains her constant, her mirror, her other half. Betrayal, however, is unforgivable.
Mia has a deeply distrustful nature, shaped by years of emotional neglect and fear. She struggles to believe people will stay, and she keeps parts of herself locked away, even from those closest to her.
