On a hot, sunny day in Greece...

"Anders, get your sunglasses," Jack ordered, "we've come to Greece on serious business!"

Anders grabbed a pair from his case and slipped them on, "oh boy, blinding sunlight, my favourite!"

"While the search for Klaus Weissmann is underway, the Chief wants us to find more about the Promethians. We know the cult started here in Greece, in ancient times," he begins summarizing, "but, as you discovered, the Promethians are far from being history! They've reorganized themselves, and they're planning an attack in Europe!"

"As if the Greeks didn't have enough trouble already: the country's gone bankrupt, people struggle with poverty and unemployment, there are protests against the government..." he says, recalling the research he did on Greece on the flight over, "the Promethians are the last thing Greece needs right now! I think we should start at the ruins of the Acropolis, Jack."

"Excellent idea!" Jack agreed, "what better place to learn about an ancient cult – let's go!"

Driving through the winding stress of Greece, Anders and Jack arrived at the base of the ruins of the Acropolis in record time. They had to climb to the top of the mountain on foot in the scorching sun and quickly learned why white was a popular colour in this country.

"Oh my god, why is it so hot?!" Jack groaned and they continued climbing the stairs, "I think I'm going to melt!"

"Pretty sure that's not physically possible," Anders argued, adjusting his sunglasses.

"Well we're about to find out!" he pants slightly, "how are you not dying, you're wearing black!"

He pulls his hand out of his pocket to show the slight blue tinge around his nails, "you do know that I can generate fire and ice, right? It helps me regulate my core temperature."

"Dude, that's so unfair!" Jack cried.

Ander smirked, "so you wouldn't like me to share, then?"

"What I meant to say was you're a genius!"

Anders chuckled as he reached over to wrap his arm around Jack's shoulder. He focused his power within his arm to emit from it and into his partner's back. The American shivered from the initial coldness, but soon found it comfortable and adjusted to the change in temperature.

The pair soon reached the top of the mountain and Jack reluctantly let Anders go so that they could look around the ruins. They nearly tripped over a man slumped across a broken pillar as soon as they entered the ruins. However, upon closer inspection, they saw that the man's back was soaked with blood. Anders carefully lifted the man off the pillar and laid the body face-side up on the ground.

"By Zeus, that guy on the stone pillar was literally stabbed in the back!" Jack cried.

"I don't think Zeus had anything to do with this man's death," Anders replied, "every time we cross the path of the Promethians, someone ends up dead!"

"Could they be involved in this murder, too?" he wondered.

"We won't know until we investigate," he replied, texting the team about their newest case.

"You don't need to fear the Promethians while you're with me: I've already identified the victim! His name is Demetrios Metaxas," Jack informs.

Anders raised an eyebrow, "and how do you know that, Jack?"

"Oh, I know him from TV. Metaxas is the Greek finance minister. He's often in the news because of the economic crisis," he explains, "and now, the crisis just got personal for Metaxas! Anders, what are you looking at? Come on, we have to act before this murder hits the news!"
