In the forests of Kyushu...
"Adalet, I'm so worried about Sanjay! We know we came here after he ran away from Tokyo, but what if we don't find him in time?" Carmen worries as they walk along the beaten path, "it's pretty clear that Sanjay was brainwashed by SOMBRA, just like all the other orphans! And since we know that the yakuza have the children in weapons training, I'm even more worried! There's not a minute to-"
"Agent Adalet! You have to help me!" Chieko pants as she runs out of the trees and towards the agents.
"Chieko? We thought you were still in Tokyo!" Adalet remarks in surprise, "did you follow us here?"
"I found my brother... and he's dead!" the girl sobs instead of answering the question.
"What? Your brother's dead?" she gasped, "Chieko, you need to take us to him!"
Chieko leads the agents through the trees to a temple garden on the other side of the forest. The three walked along the stone path until they reached a temple garden where Chieko had found her brother's body. Laying on a small bridge over a pond was the body of Tsukada Hiroshi, wearing military-style clothes like his sisters and with an arrow sticking out of his back. Looking away from the gruesome sight, Adalet noticed a red backpack on the other side of the pond with the victim's name written on its tag.
"Chieko, are you able to confirm this dead boy is your brother?" Carmen asks.
But Chieko was unable to answer. The young girl continues crying, hiccuping every few breaths.
She sighs, "I'll take that as a yes. Why don't you sit for a while, Chieko? Agent Adalet will examine the crime scene. When you're ready, we'll talk."
Chieko wordlessly nodded and hurried outside the garden, far away from her brother's body.
"Adalet, we've seen a lot," Carmen states, "but you never get used to seeing dead children. Looks like this boy was shot with an arrow."
"That's also a SOMBRA armband on the victim!" Adalet gasped, recognizing the logo on the red fabric, "but... Why would SOMBRA brainwash children only to kill them? It doesn't make any sense!"
"And what if the same thing happened to Sanjay? He's clearly mixed up in SOMBRA's scheme too, whatever they are! Tell me you found something, Adalet," she pleaded.
"You're in luck! I found a backpack with the victim's name!" she answers, walking across the bridge to grab it.
"We should search it for clues!" Carmen decided, "we're going to catch this killer, Adalet. Not only for Chieko but for Sanjay and any other kid in SOMBRA's clutches!"
Carmen calls the team about the murder while Adalet walks back across the bridge. The agent kneeled by the backpack on the ground and flipped the flap to look inside. She pushed aside the clothes, manga, maps and snacks until she found a slightly faded poster featuring a blue-haired man holding a bow and arrow.
"What did you find in the victim's backpack, Adalet?" Carmen asked, putting her phone away, "a faded flyer?"
"A faded flyer with SILVERee, the K-pop star we met before, on it!" Adalet corrected.
"Hold on; he's wearing the same SOMBRA armband we found on the victim!" she points to the armband that could just be seen on the man's left bicep, "we've suspected that SILVERee's involved with SOMBRA for a while. Let's recover the writing on this flyer!"
Adalet flattened the flyer on the stone path and grabbed her dusting kit. She brushed the faded upper and lower sections of the flyer and recovered the information that had been printed.
