Chapter 3: Igor and Nick

As we arrived at my home, I see Salem sitting on the front porch looking around spotting my car he comes running over

"Did you let him out?" Ruby asked looking just as confused as I am

"No I didn't" I know something's wrong my Salem is too slow to learn how to open the door, I lean over to grab my gun out of the glove compartment and I hand Ruby one to

"Salem woods now," I say getting out of the car and loading up my gun with just enough bullets I hope

He looks at me then takes off running toward the woods I don't need him getting hurt in the crossfire

"Ruby check out the back and I'll check inside the house," I say walking to the front door and about to push it open when Ruby grabs my arm spinning me around

"Are you sure you should go in there alone? It could be really dangerous Artemis" I just stare at her is she dumb I'm a mafia donna everything I do is dangerous

I nod shaking her hand off me and walk into the house turn on the light switch when I see Nick and his stupid ass crew

"Long time no see Artemis," he says walking up to me with his arms open I know damn well he ain't trying to get a hug from me

I punch him right in the face "I'm not your fucking friend Nick" I say as he holds his jaw chuckling

"It was just a distraction love, you should know never turn your back on your enemies," he says then I'm hit in the back of my head with something I turn around and look to see a boy holding a medal pipe

"What the hell you were supposed to drop to the floor," the boy says raising the pipe again about to hit me when I yank it out of his hand

"You suppose to do it like this" I hold it up showing him making sure his paying close attention and slam into the side of his head

"Your friend is a dumb dude," Ruby says walking in holding her gun at nicks head

"Wow hanging out with the Russians now, but you won't hang out with Igor," he says chuckling loudly

"Well she never abused me or sold me nor did she use me as her child prodigy," I say shooting him in the kneecaps

"This was another distraction, go help your dog," he says making dog whimpering noises

I look at Ruby and she nods her head then I run out the door into the woods

"Salem come here please" I yell hoping I'm not too late please let him be ok, I can't lose anyone else

I soon see Salem run over to me with blood all over him

"Salem oh my gosh," I say rubbing my hands in his fur to see where the blood was coming from when I realized it's not his blood

"Hello my little devil" I know that voice from I turn around to see the face that haunts my dreams

"Igor what are you doing here" I stutter trying to get up from the floor but he kicks me down

"Did I say you can get up?" He asked shaking his head

"Igor you don't have control over me anymore," I say getting up from the floor

"Don't I?" He questioned walking closer to me Salem starts to bark and growl

And he kicks Salem aside

I turn around trying to get Salem
