"Hello petit fue," a voice says. "Who are you," a young Nadia asks. "Well I guess you could say that I am your godmother," the voice says. "My godmother," Nadia whispers in awe. The woman nods and smiles, "You have questions about your mother, don't you," the godmother asks. Nadia nods, "Why did she give me away?" Her godmother shakes her head, "Oh no, darling, you were taken away from your mother," she explains. "When you were born, your grandfather did not let your mother hold you," the woman explains. "Now you are about to wake up, but you have to keep me a secret alright, petit fue," the woman asks. "Alright godmother," Nadia agrees.

"I knew raising a teenager was difficult, but you are making it more so," godmother's voice says. "Hello, godmother," I say. "Petit fue," she says softly. "Godmother, am I ever going to find my real mother," I ask.  "Your mother is looking for you just as you are looking for her," Godmother tells me. "Why is it taking so long," I ask. "Sweetheart, you are only sixteen," Godmother reassures me. "You know, you remind me of my little sister," Godmother says. "You have no patience," she teases. "Rest now, petit fue, your time will come," Godmother says before disappearing.

As a newly turned vampire, I sleep, knowing that the comfort of my godmother will be there. "Hello, petit fue," godmother greets. "I think it might be time for you to branch out and look for your mother, not that you have eternity to find her," godmother says. "Do you really think that I can find her," I ask. "Either, you will find her or she will find you," godmother says. "You will be there along the way?" I ask. "Of course," Godmother says. "Thank you, Godmother," I whisper. "Anytime, petit fue," she responds before disappearing.

Walking into my NYC apartment, I am continuing my search for my mother. "Hello petit fue," a voice says walking into the room. "Hello, Godmother," I say. She smiles, "You do realize you are five hundred years old, you no longer have to call me that," she says. "I know, but calling you Anna, just does not seem right," I tell her. "You have been showing up in my dreams to talk to me for five hundred years, what's so different about now," I ask. "Well, you know my story, and I wanted to tell you that I am awake," she tells me. "You are awake, and with your siblings yet you visit me," I ask. "Well I wanted to tell you that your mother is headed to New York City with her soulmate," she tells me. "My mother," I whisper. She nods, "Petit fue, your mother looked for you, just as you looked for her," my godmother figure tells me. "So she is coming to NYC," I whisper. "Yes, darling, with her soulmate," godmother says. "Her soulmate," I ask. "My little brother Elijah," godmother says. "Well, I have to go, but keep an eye on Central Park," Godmother says looking out the window. I nod, "Okay, I will," I say.
