Half way across the world, the Former Dominion sat on the cold floor of his dungeon.

The Leeches, bloated with his life force, lay gorged on the cell floor.

"Go. You have done your job."

They obeyed and disappeared into the very ground before him.

The shackles on his hands were gone, as were the ones around his ankles.

They were special shackles designed to hold one of his kind. Practically unbreakable.

Yet, there they the restraints lay. 

Something had happened in the middle of the night. As he looked about his surroundings he saw a familiar face. 

"Buongiorno, Padre."

"Figlio....what has happened?"

The youngest of all his sons stared at him from across the room. 

Keys were dangling from his hand.

"Nothing. I have loosed your shackles. I see no point in restraining you in such a demeaning way, if you refuse to go anywhere."

The father narrowed his eyes at the son. 

"What are your designs on me?" 

"Nothing. I won't go against you wishes, but I don't have to treat you like an animal do I?"

"Your brother will be angry." 

"Cazzo mio fratello. He won't do anything to me."

"Why?" 

"He needs me." 

"But what happened when that need is met?" 

"By that time all shall be as you wish and I can die happily."

"So...how are you?" 

"Are we really going to talk about that in this particular environment?"

"Just shut-up and answer the question."

"Miserable. I don't like the way my life is going."

"Then change it. I've done terrible things in my life and I'm actually fine with it. "

"I'm not that strong. I'm not like Lewis you know."

There was a silence between the two. 

"What do you mean?"

"I mean I'm not like Lewis. I'm not strong enough to make my own decisions like that. I mean could you picture me as the head of an army?"

"No." 

"See? " 

"But that doesn't mean anything. You two are different people. Besides, the first is naturally the leader."

"And the third is a dog then?"

"Silenzio. You are no dog. You are as smart as Lewis and as capable. Let's not talk about this anymore."

"Yes, father."

The dungeon doors opened and in walked Leonardo of all people.

"So This is where you are. Get up, and come with me."

"Where are we going?" 

"You'll find out if you get up."

The third son sighed heavily and rose from his seat.
