It was the first time when Tommy woke up to comfortable warmth that surrounded his body, not having any flashbacks from the previous nightmares and without his mind being occupied by fear. The blanket dropped over his body seemed like the best thing that he felt during the last couple of years, giving him comfort and somehow making him feel safe. Laying on the black couch with the blackest still covering his body, he stared lifelessly at the white ceiling above him. He blew off a few loose blonde locks that fell over his face, the baby blue eyes trying to get used to the bright light coming from outside. Despite still being tired from the lack of sleep, he couldn't bring himself to sleep longer that needed. After all, he was still in a stranger's house that he met a couple days ago and he was still a little wary of the said man. At least he didn't have to sleep in the same old dirt house he once called home and where he spend all his days.
The thought of his old home awoken a feeling that he forgot about a long time ago. The last time he actually had this feeling was when he was still a young boy, living with his father and older brother. There was that one day when they had to leave and unfortunately couldn't bring Tommy with them, so he was left under Puffy's care for a whole entire week. Don't get him wrong, he loved the said woman, she was like a mother figure to him that he could always talk to or just hang out whenever he wanted. However not seeing or hearing from his only family for such a long time made him feel homesick and he found himself bored from the lack of attention. Sure, Puffy took him to visit Tubbo, his friend and yet he felt sad. When finally his family came back, he was relieved to know that they didn't just abounded him and left all alone.Being corrupted by the tiredness and the softness of the blanket, he didn't acknowledge the man who walked inside the room with a cup of coffee in his hand. The said hero simply stood in the door frame, leaning against it and glancing at the kid. He was rather surprised to see that the 16 years old was already awake, despite the early hour and silence that filled the room. He brought the mug up to his lips, taking a long sip in hopes to get the kid's attention. And even then the kid failed to notice him, still staring at the ceiling almost as if he was frozen. Growing tired of the silence, which normally would bring Aizawa peace and slight comfort, he cleared his throat.
"Good morning" he said.
Tommy shot up, his body tensed as he looked in the direction of the voice. Noticing the familiar black hairs and dark bags under a pair of black eyes, he relaxed and sat up with his feet resting on the white carpet.
"Morning" Tommy replied, lazily rubbing his eyes. "How long have you been standing there?"
Aizawa glanced at the clock on the wall before turning his head to the side to look at the kid once again.
"Around 10 minutes, less or more. What got you so interested in the ceiling?" The older man asked, bringing the mug to his lips to taste the bitter but much needed drink.
Tommy stayed silent for a moment before looking down at his lap.
"I guess I just miss my friends, you know?" He said quietly.
Watching Tommy pull up his knees to his chest and wrap his arms around them, Aizawa sighed and pushed himself off of the door's frame.
"We will see what we can do to help you. As for now, you will have to go to school and try to make the best out of it. Maybe you will enjoy it" he said, leaving Tommy without another look.
Tommy looked after him and followed his figure till it disappeared behind the wall. He bit his lower lip, eyes tearing up softly.
"I hope so..."

The tall hybrid wasted no time before running out of the prison and imidiatelly going towards the small hut that he saw in the distance. His mask was long abounded and was currently wrapped around his neck, hanging there and swinging with every step he took. His eyes quickly scanned the area, looking for something. Or rather someone.
And much to his relief, he spotted them faster that he would have expect."Quackity!" He yelled, catching the winged male's attention.
He turned around, small smile appearing on his face when he noticed the running creeper hybrid.
"Hello Sam, what brings you here this fine afternoon?" Quackity asked, the playful smirk not flattering even for a moment.
"Have you seen Puffy? I need to speak with her this instant" the distress in Sam's voice was visible, especially when he spoke so fast.
"What? Why? Did something happen?" Quackity asked, the all famous smirk fading away a little.
"Yeah, something did happen. Now tell me where she is." The taller hybrid looked around before once again his eyes rested on the winged man.
"Nu-uh, can't do. Not unless you tell me what happened. You know I like being informed about things"
Sam groaned before stopping for a moment, quickly changing his decision.
"Dream did something to Tommy and I really can't talk right now. Where is she" Sam asked, his voice sounding more urgent.
Quackity frowned, already expecting the news. Dream was in prison and from what he heard, Tommy went to visit him. So what could happen?
Instead of answering, Quackity glared at Sam and pulled him down by his mask to his level."What. Did. Dream. Do" he asked, his eyes piercing Sam's head. "Tell me. Now."
"He killed him, okay?! Dream beat Tommy to death and now he's dead!" Sam screamed at Quackity, noticing how the grip on his mask lightened. "Now tell me where Puff is before I do something I might regret later on"
Quackity let Sam go, pushing him back a little. He pointed in the direction of Puffy's house, taking a step back as well.
"She should be in her house" He said at which Sam nodded.
He was about to walk away but when he walked past Quackity, he was stopped by his words.
"You better pray that Tommy will be back safe and soon, because otherwise you will taste my axe in your mouth. And I promise you, it won't end on that" Quackity glared at Sam, who could only gulp and nod before walking away hurriedly.
Quackity watched him do so, before turning around to leave as well. His wings fluttered up a little, yellow feathers shining in the sun.
"That green bastard will regret being born in the first place" he muttered to himself, stretching out his wings.
And with that he was gone, flying high above the buildings straight to his own house. One single feather was left behind, slowly falling to the ground. Next to it was a blue one, a little bit dirty from the dust that collected on it during the past few days. The two feathers laid there, glimmering softly in the sun.
Only if they knew.
