His body was shaking, another wave of uncontrollable sobs wrecking him even more. His eyes were more than red and puffy, his nose running and countless tissues laying scattered around him. His throat was raw from all the screaming into the now tear stained pillow, which was also almost ripped apart into million pieces. The floor was trashed with clothes and other things he threw around in his fit of anger, before settling down and pulling the blue sweater with iconic bee on it over his head. One of his wings was wrapped around his body tightly, shielding him from any pair of eyes that could try and sneak into his room. The other one however was gently tucked under the covers, carefully spread out to not cause any more damage. The pain was there, a little bit dull but still there. He did not fare to look at it in fear of what he could see, bit he also knew he had to take care of the possibly burnt feathers and apply something to soothe the pain.
But hell did he felt hopeless and too tired to anything other than lay down. Instead, he did something he would probably regret later. But that was a problem for future Tommy and he couldn't care less about consequences. With a little bit of struggle, he reached over to his phone that was previously thrown somewhere under the bed and opened his contacts. With half opened eyes, he managed to click the right number and soon, it started ringing.
.Ring.
..Ring..
...Ring...
.Ring.
..Ri-
"Hello?" A cherry voice rung through the call and into his ears.
Even if he did fail to notice it, his heart slowed down a little hearing the familiar voice.
"Hey.." he answered, trying his best to keep his voice normal for his sake.
But it seemed like the man on the other side already knew something was wrong, because he was quick to speak.
"Did something happen? You sound exhausted"
Tommy sniffed, forcing his body to fall on the soft covers so he could face the calling, still being wary of his injury. His right hand rubbed his one eye, trying to get rid of the small tear that picked in the corner of his eye.
"I would love to say that I am fine, but I would be lying" Tommy said, sighing as he closed his eyes to the fullest. "Do you think you will be able to fly over? I think I need some company right now. I don't trust myself at this point"
His voice was hoarse, which was the complete opposite of how he normally sounded. The words hesitant on his tongue. It sounded almost wrong, asking him to come and accompany him. But comfort sounded so pleasing at that moment, that he couldn't even control his body. He needed someone there with him right now.
There was a small pause on the other side and Tommy was about to say it didn't matter before hanging up, but much to his surprise, the answer was rather positive."Sure, are you at home?"
Hawks voice was comforting, which made Tommy stop for a second and plead in his head to hear it again. But he did not say anything else.
"Yeah, in my room"
"I'll be there in a second"
And with that, the sound of hanging up left him alone. Again. With a heavy sight, he let the phone slip from his grasp and land on one of the many pillows he grabbed. He let his body get comfortable, his mind clearing a little as he pulled one of the blankets over his head.
Now it was too comfortable and hard to not to fall asleep.・.。.:* *.:。.・
The room was quiet, darkness surrounding him from every side. It was easy for him to slip in through the window, noting the fact it was opened wide enough for him to push it open. Along with him, a small glim of light creeped inside the room, falling on the sleeping figure in the bed.
Almost imidiatelly, Hawks felt his heart clutch as he softly set his feet on the ground and carefully locked the window behind him so it wouldn't get cold. The sight before him was pathetic. Blankets were sprawled all around the room, clothes laying here and there. On the side of the bed laid Tommy, who's eyes were closed tightly and body relaxed. One of his wings laid on the ground to the full expose, ruffling up a little when the cold air hit it. The teens face was barely visible, but it was easy to notice the dark circles under his eyes and the fact that teras were stained on not only his face, but also the blanket that was thrown messily over his figure.
