Suspicions

Uraraka wasn't usually someone to jump into conclusions when she wasn't sure about something, especially if there was no valid reason to do so. But she couldn't stop the thoughts from flowing through her head as time went on and on. There was a part of her that often caught things about people that she would usually ignore if they weren't important. Always listening to her heart, trying to come up with a better explanation before even considering something to be real. But this time, it seemed like no convincing explanation was there.
In her classmate's eyes, Tommy was a somewhat nice person. With incredible power, strong language and chaotic charisma but also snarky remarks and sass. It was no surprise that he always had to shoot a comment back or match someone's energy. It was also obvious that despite making himself seem mean and thought, there was a part of him that screamed kind but lost. It was no secret that Tommy had a hard time socializing with people and often preferred to keep his distance. They weren't sure if it was Because of something they did or something that happened in his life but they never pushed it. The last thing they wanted to do was to make Tommy feel uncomfortable around them.

And it seemed like Uraraka was the only one to suspect something. Maybe she didn't know much about the boy whose presence was under a questioning mark, but she couldn't help but think. The way he acted, the way he spoke and moved. There was something off about him. Something that screamed danger.
She never said something because of her friendly and shy nature, and the fact that it would be weird if no one believed her.
However after a few days of just watching her classmate, she was sure something was definitely off. And she decided to share her observations with someone.

She approached her friend group one evening and with a firm look voiced her thoughts.

"Tommy is acting weird, don't you think?" She immediately caught the attention of her friends, who send her a confused look.

"Tommy? How is he acting weird?" Midoriya asked, turning his head around and peaking over his shoulder.

Tommy was currently leaving the class with Shoji by his side, wings laying flat on his back in a comfortable motion. There was nothing new about him, the bag hanging from his shoulder and uniform messily drowning his body.
Midoriya looked at the other two boys who only shrugged, turning their attention to the girl.

"What's wrong with him?" Iida asked this time, pushing his glasses up his nose.

"Well I don't know, I just- the way he's acting gives me a weird feeling" she said, slumping in her seat.

The looks she received only made her cheeks feel hot and face turning red from embarrassment. Did she just lose her friends because she was paranoid? Or were they planning on snitching on her?

"I don't think there's something wrong with him.. are you sure it's not because he doesn't want to spend time with us?" Tsuyu asked, her voice laced with an unsure tone.

She was doubting Uraraka, wasn't she? Why couldn't they see it the way she did?

"No, not that! Don't you think it's weird that he just showed up out of nowhere a week or so in the school year? Or how he didn't hear anything about his entrance exam?" She asked, eyes narrowing.

Well, she did have a point there. Normally, UA wasn't known for letting students join later during the year, because that simply never happened. Also, they never saw Tommy on the Entrance Exams nor did they hear about him. They wouldn't let a student join just like that, right? It was unfair for the other students and probably not even allowed.
Still, how could they know? No one said anything and Tommy didn't look like someone who would just spill everything or brag about his exams. That's what made everything 10 times harder.

"We can't jump to conclusions without proof. It's rude and impolite!" Iida scolded while making weird hand movements.

"Urarak-san has a point tho.." Midoriya whispered, before he started mumbling to himself.

And apparently they weren't as secret with their conversation as they thought, because another group of their classmates heard them and didn't even bother hiding the fact that they were eavesdropping. Kaminari just made his way towards Todoroki and leaned over his shoulder, his presence startling the whole table. Following him was Mina who squealed in delight and jumped on the table next to theirs, legs bouncing up and down. Kirishima was next, instead choosing to just stand over by the side and listen.
What they didn't notice was Bakugou who stood by the doors, being able to hear the whole conversation perfectly. Not like he cared or anything.

"What are you on, huh? Suspecting our dear Tommy for something?" Kaminari asked not even bathing around the topic.

Uraraka sent him a puzzled look before repeating what she said previously. And with each word, Kirishima's smile faded bit by bit, soon being replaced with a frown. But not because he thought that what Uraraka had said, but the exact opposite. He was never a big fan of talking about someone being their back, especially if it was only bad things. He shook his head in disappointment while Mina chuckled.

"I don't think Tommy is hiding anything! He doesn't seem like someone to do that, especially since he barely bothers to do anything out of class" She said, swinging her legs once again. "In my opinion he's just not comfortable with us enough to share whatever has been bothering him"

And the rest could only agree, taking it as a good reason. But Uraraka still wasn't convinced.

"But what about the training? We've all seen the way he fights and the experience he has! There's no way he learned it all by himself" she said, pouting and crossing her arms over her chest.

"I must agree, his Fighting skills are incredible. The way he just glides through the air and how fast comes up with a plan? It's all amazing!" Kirishima said, the smile returning as something in his eyes shined.

"Yeah! And the way he's wielding his sword? I wanna know how he's doing it all!" Kaminari said and both him and Kirishima high-five.

It was obvious that Tommy had been training for a long time now. Everything he did was planned, precise and simply well done. He rarely made mistakes, never slipped and his plans worked out most of the time.
He was like an angel, gracefully moving and avoiding every attack sent his way. And the wings? They only added to the effect.

"I think you should relax Uraraka-san and give him some time. He will come around eventually, okay?" Mina said, placing her pink hand on her friend's shoulder.

Uraraka only nodded, before excusing herself and leaving to go to the bathroom.
Bakugou took it as his cue to leave, slipping back in the hallway and walking away.
The break was still not near its end and the bell had yet to ring, students taking their time to go outside and talk about everything.
All while Bakugou had one goal in his mind.
To talk to that winged extra and explain some things..

And after walking aimlessly down the halls and looking all around the school, Bakugou went to the last place he could think of.
Outside, just by the cherry tree was a bench. A small one, made of wood with a beautiful view of the world outside the school.
And just like he thought, Tommy was right there with his back turned towards him. Silently, Bakugou tried to make his way towards the other boy but failed when Tommy's head turned to the side slightly only to be able to see him.
A smirk creeped onto his face, wings fluttering a little.

"What could possibly happen that made you come looking for me? Perhaps, our angry Pomeranian got scared of a spider and wants protection?" Tommy's smile never faded, not even when sparks appeared in Bakugou's hands.

Tommy always thought he was a great liar and actor. The fear of loud noises and explosions was still there and he didn't get rid of it. But he held onto that little chance of lying to himself that he was fine. Because in reality he was never safe.

"Who are you calling an angry Pomeranian?! I will kill you right here!"

"Ah, there he is! And I thought you were actually going to be nice to me.."
