Anxious isn't the right word to describe how I felt walking down the street . Atsushi beside me had the same feelings , I got that from his expression. Junichiro and Naomi were walking in front of us hand in hand , assuring that it's a simple job , no way we will encounter the Port Maffia .
Right , it's just a patrol mission . We just need to find evidence of smugglers . No reason to worry . Why did I have this feeling then ? I felt it in my guts , that something bad will happen .
Our client the blond girl , she walked behind us . She was quiet ,had a black suit on , with white button up .
At a corner she told us to turn , we arrived at dead end .
- We have arrived- she stated
- Here ? Weird - I said
- There is something creepy about this place - Atsushi whispered .
- That's strange - Junichiro turned around to face the woman - Is this the right spot ? Miss ...
- Higuchi
- Right , Miss Higuchi , smugglers tend to be very cautious, they always have an escape plan , yet this place is a dead end , if anyone were to came from that direction they would be trapped - the boy pointed towards the street where Higuchi stood .
The woman dropped her bag , tied up her hair in a ponytail as she spoke .
- That's right , I do apologise for deceiving you , and leading you into a trap - she put sunglasses on and took her phone out - My target , is all of you . Akutagawa, it's me , I have them as planned .
AKUTAGAWA???? The maffioso ? The one that is so dangerous that we have to run if we see him ? The one that not even the Military Police can stop ? That Akutagawa?
I didn't even have time to react , Higuchi took out two guns and started firing at us .
- No , The Port Maffia - I heard TigerKittyBoy shout .
Everything happened so fast , we had no way to dodge the bullets . Naomi jumped in front of her brother to shield him , all I saw was blood . She got shot, and fell forward , Junichiro caught her before she hit the ground .
- Naomi , no , Atsushi do you have a tourniquet on you ? No , first I have to clean the wound - the boy panicked .
Atsushi was frozen in panic , he couldn't move , he just sat on the ground staring at the scene in front of him. I wasn't any better , I stood with my back to a wall , my eyes on Higuchi .
What do I do ? We have to get help for Naomi , we must get out of here , run ! I thought . But how ? We have no way out of this .
Then Higuchi held a gun to Junichiro's head .
- Follow your princess to the afterlife - she said .
Junichiro jumped up , and went feral .
- How dare you hurt her ? - he picked his sister up .
- Ability: Light Snow - I heard him shout , and all I saw was green lights surrounding him , then ...
- Snow ? - I questioned .
- Atsushi, Y/n , stay back , this one is mine to kill - Junichiro screamed and disappeared.
- What the ? - Higuchi and the two of us all confused.
- My ability, Light Snow , can transform the entire space with snowfall into a screen . You can't see me anymore .
Higuchi started shooting around , even if he is invisible to her behind the screen , he can't escape the bullets .
A couple seconds later the blond girl's throat was grabbed from behind by the Tanizaki brother . Just as he was choking Higuchi , he fell over and his ability disappeared as well .
- What the ... ? - I yelled .
Then I saw , Junichiro was stabbed from the back by a black demon like shadow with a red light around it . Which belonged to a certain maffioso . It seemed like his long itself was the ability .
He was even scarier in real life . He was tall , his aura radiated death . The man put his hand in front of his mouth and coughed .
- The stench of death , it doesn't discriminate between those who inflict it and those who seek it - he said walking towards Junichiro body , his eyes were on Atsushi tho .- Do you not agree ? It's a pleasure to meet you , my name is Akutagawa, and just like Higuchi here , I'm one of the Port Maffia's black dogs .
He coughed again . The said woman went to him .
- Akutagawa I can handle this myself .
And then bammm the man slapped her . Hard .
What the fuck ? Is that how you treat your fellow Maffia members ? Is that how you treat a girl ?
- My orders were to take Jinko alive , yet you are here cutting everyone down . You truly are worthless .
Higuchi bowed her head down and kept quiet .
I have to do something, I thought . The scene in front of me was horrific. The Tanizaki siblings both unconscious on the ground , Atsushi frozen in terror sitting . And me , back to a wall , unable to move . Come on Y/N ! Move ! Do something! Move ! But I couldn't, what can I do ? I have no combat skills , my ability isn't suited for that either .
My only chance is to get close to Akutagawa, somehow hold onto his hand and command him to stay put .
Right . I can do that , I just have to jump fast . And that's what I did . However the moment I made my move , the black and red ability of the maffioso stroke me in the shoulder, the impact was hard enough to knock me back to the wall , then it all went black .
- Yeah I'm aware of that - I heard a familiar voice . Dazai ? I woke up , I was laying on the ground still , I couldn't move or open my eyes . But I heard a conversation.
- I know you are , given your previous history - This voice belonged to Akutagawa- after all you were a Port Maffia member , right , Dazai . - then I heard footsteps walking away .
