- By the way , Y/N , why weren't you here yesterday? - Yosano asked curiously.
- I had another job to do , the President knows - I said .
Right , I was gonna go home yesterday to get some work done for social media , but I ended up getting Dazai from the Maffia which I wasn't allowed to tell anyone . And I had sex with him ... which I definitely wasn't gonna tell anyone .
- Now that I think about it , Dazai still didn't show up , maybe he really is kidnapped- Junichiro wondered out loud .
- I'm sure he is daydrinking somewhere - I said flatly , knowing damn well he is all good , just slacking off .
Which reminds me , I forgot to post the videos, I quickly did .
About an hour later Kunikida came back with the eggs and energy drinks .
- Where is Kenji ? - He asked
- Yeah I sent him out with Atsushi- Said the Tanizaki brother .
- What ? No! That's the worst possible pairing . Kenji's methods are way to extreme, and Atsushi is way to gullible he will think that , that's the right way to solve cases !
- Huh ? Why ? I was on a job with Kenji and it was all good - I questioned.
- Yes , Kenji has solved many difficult cases in the past and his behaviour is outstanding- Junichiro added .
Kunikida was still not happy about those two out on a job together, but he just let it go and sat down to work .
Ranpo was called out on an investigation, I got paired up with him again . So we headed down to a crime scene , The detective will solve the case in a minute , so we won't be out for long .
Now I was still pretty upset about what he said yesterday. But I didn't wanna stay upset forever, plus I did slap him a bit too hard .
- Look , Ranpo , I'm sorry about earlier, I shouldn't have hit you .
- I deserved it , by the way good job on getting Dazai back .
- Huh ? How did you know ?
- I'm the greatest detective, remember, I see through everything.
- Ohh - I hope he doesn't see what I did with Dazai last night .
- Your wrists are a bit bruised up , I didn't take you for someone that likes such things - he added .
Yup he did see through that , his observation skills are truly outstanding.
- I ... It's not like that , me and Dazai ... there is ..
- I didn't know what to even say .
- No I know , you are adults , with needs , besides you are not going to fall for him anyways.
- No I wasn't planning on that - I laughed - Ranpo , can we keep this between us ? I don't want anyone getting the wrong impression.

We got to the the crime scene , well I don't really think Ranpo was actually needed to solve this case . The victim was shot 3 times from the back , and his jaw and teeth were all broken . Clearly the Maffia killed him , it's their signature way of dealing with traitors .
And exactly, Ranpo told the officers the same thing .We followed them to the station to fill out the reports and we were on our way back to the Agency.
- Y/N look , so many cakes , let's go get some .
- Sure we could get some for everyone at work .
- No , I meant you and me , let's go inside and have some cake .
- Right now ? Ranpo we need to get back to work .
- Come on , it would only take a half hour , think of it like a snackbreak.
- Mr . Edogawa, my love , your whole workday is a big snackbreak .
- I don't see what's the problem with that .
- Fine , but we won't hang long , and one slice of cake , not more . Understandable?

We went inside , sat down and ordered . I got a red velvet cake , Ranpo got a chocolate one .
While munching on our sweets , he was telling me about all kinds of cases he solved . This boy really loved mysteries . His eyes were practically stars while talking . I couldn't help but smile , he might be arrogant, but he is so adorable, really like a child .
On the way back to the Agency , Ranpo did something surprising. He held out his arm , and asked me to grab onto it . I did , it wasn't some kind of flirty gesture from him , more like friendly comfort .
- We should go out on jobs like this more - he sighed when he sat down by his desk at the office .
- You mean get cakes and walk around arms locked ? - I smiled .
- Yes , it's nice to be around you - the boy said with a gleaming smile .
- Hey , Junichiro, are the boys back ? Did the investigation go well ? - I turned to the Tanizaki brother .
- It was a disaster- the young boy replied - Atsushi took Kenji back to the dorms .
- Why what happened?
- Kenji possesses superhuman strength , that he can only use if he is hungry . He basically threw cars around today to make the gang confess .

- Yeah but it's fine now , he ate .

Ohhh I see , so he fell asleep and Atsushi took him home . So cute .
Kitty boy came back , looking pretty worn out .
- Never again , I can't work with him - he mumbled.
The rest of our day went with filling out some reports , it was pleasantly quiet with Dazai not being around .
Just before I was about to finish up work , I got a message on my IG .

Ugh , Chuuya , after all that went down last night I didn't really think about him . I mean , I had sex with his ex partner the same day he took me on a date , plus he is a Port Maffia executive.
