Chapter 4

So here I was walking next to Lily , Chuuya on her other side holding her leash .
The redhead was scolding me basically the whole way about how I shouldn't be so trusting , and I need a phone at all times .
Finally we reached my apartment building.
- Here we are - he handed me the leash - make sure from now you will be careful .
- I'm safe aren't I ? You walked us home .
- What if I was a murderer ?
- Are you ? That's cool
- You are insane !
I laughed at his words , as I reached to my pocket for my keys .
- Anyways Hatboy , thank you again .
- No problem, bye Lily - he kneeled down to pet my dog .
- Oh , by the way - he stood up and handed me his phone - give me your Instagram since you don't know your number yet .
- Sure - I typed in my username and tapped follow .
- See you - he said and put his phone in his pocket and walked away .
When I got inside my flat I checked my phone , I was curious about his profile . It was a private account , ugh , I requested to follow him back .
I didn't get an immediate accept .
Anyways it was getting late , I fed the rats , played with them a bit , fed Lilly , and at last myself .
Took a shower , and got cosy in the living room , with my puppy cuddled up next to me I was watching a serie . My mind was on Chuuya , I didn't check my phone yet to see if he accepted my request. The redhead was certainly interesting , I liked how short tempered he is . And I'm glad I know someone around here already .
Short after I went to sleep , I was tired , and a bit anxiety started crawling up about tomorrow.
I wonder what kind of test it will be , that was my first thought upon waking up .
I got ready , walked Lilly around the block , and headed out to the Agency .
I arrived about 20 minutes too early at the building .
- Good , maybe I could get some coffee and something to eat later .
And right there the Agency's buildings ground floor , was a cafe . Cafe Uzumaki .
I went in , was greated by a pretty young black haired girl .
- Good morning , can I have a large black coffee to go ? And , hmmm - I looked at the fresh pastry - a few of these - I pointed at the chocolate croissants.
I'm going to share it with my new coworkers , I thought . I really liked to treat the people around me , and we are going to be spending most of our days together it will be a great ice breaker .
I got my order I payed and went upstairs to the Agency .
I was about 5 minutes early when I walked in , nobody was here yet .
I sat down by the desk that was assigned to me yesterday. I put the croissants on the side of the table , got out my laptop , and checked my new company emails.
About a second later a blond man greated me .
- Good morning , I'm glad you are here on time
- Good morning , I got some croissants, please help yourself - and I pointed at the bunch on my desk .
- That's very thoughtful of you .
He then sat by his table , got out his laptop and started working .
A couple minutes later Yosano and Kenji arrived , I offered them from the croissants as well , which they both gladly accepted.
- Good morning - I heard a strict voice
- Good morning President- we all replied .
- Are those fresh chocolate croissants?! - an excited boy shouted , Ranpo .
- Yess , I got some , please take , enjoy . - I smiled at him .
He jumped to my desk and took about 3 of them , one he already was munching on .
- I say she passed the test , she is perfect for the Agency - he screamed out .
- No , but I'm sure she will be passing - Fukuzawa replied to him and took one croissant as well .
We all started working, The President went to his office , and Ranpo , well he was eating , I guess that's what he does I don't know .
I was reading through some files Kenji sent me about a case he was working on when somebody hugged me from behind .
- Good morning! Oh beautiful lady , what a bright sight you are .
- You lazy good for nothing idiot - Kunikida screamed and jumped on the man who was still holding on to me .
- Dazai , Morning , you are 15 minutes late , and please get off of me , as a matter of fact do not touch me . - I growled while standing up .
- But you are just perfect to hug - the brunette whined and came in for a hug again .
I grabbed a handful of his hair on the back of his head a pulled him back .
- Don't , I do not like to be hugged right now , and you reek of alcohol , it's 9 in the morning.- I was holding myself back from yelling .
- I did not drink in the morning , I'm not some low life , I drank last night until I passed out and I woke up about half an hour ago so I didn't shower , just came to work . - he stated .
- I ... Yeah that's much better, you are so dedicated to work . - I laughed .
- That's enough , Dazai , we are heading out to investigate the weretiger case , Y/ N , you are coming with us , don't worry you don't have to do anything, just shadow Dazai and me - Kunikida said as he was getting ready to leave the office .
- Let's go Y/ N , maybe we find a beautiful place in this city to commit suicide together while looking around - The bandaged low life was singing instead of speaking . Then he grabbed my hand started pulling me towards the door .
