Six nutjobs decide to get a drink before the blizzard gets worse. Ella makes the right decision of using a vehicle in the garage to get to the bar because it's freezing outside. The bar is at the end of the block. Rick wants to stay here and watch Ivelisse. Good call. I guess.

"It's nice to see you coming with us, Markus," I tell him in a feign surprised remark, "Usually, you wanna be left alone."

"I was tired of staying in the same spot," he defends as I strap on his seatbelt.

"What? Blath made it borin' for you," I pucker my lips out with a smirk, "Shocker."

"Did I say the room and its occupants?" He retorts with a slight hiss.

"Don't worry, I saw you two having close contact. I am surprised you didn't kiss."

Markus grimaces, "You little sh-"

Ella cuts him off, "Will ya two quit yappin' and get inside? The blizzard isn't gonna wait for anybody. By the time you're done, you'll be crawlin' out of an ice age."

"We're both inside," I hop in while slamming the van door and putting my seatbelt on, "It's up to you to blast off or not."

It takes us several minutes to get to the bar within the snowstorm. It's still open, but there are not a lot of cars. I guess the blighter manager must've come from America with the desire to make business even in a waterfall worth of snow.

We get out and shuffle our way through. The bartender looks at us oddly. "Never saw a human in my life today," he says, "What made you guys want to come up here?"

"We need a couple of drinks," Dominique says to him with a dip of stress in her voice.

"Alright, but don't stay here too long. The bar isn't a hotel."

"We won't," Markus assures him with a bummed-out voice, "How come you're still working? In times like these, businesses and schools are closed."

"My apartment is above the shop," he smiles, "And my wife has been bickering, so I left it open for crazy travellers like yourselves to get a break. Also, make myself some drinks."

Not the explanation I was expecting, but less dim.

"We need one. We saw a talking woolly mammoth, a tiger, a sloth with a human baby when travelling here," I joke. The bartender laughs.

"So that bad, eh?"

We sit at the bar, chatting among ourselves. We got drinks both to taste and to go. Don't forget about the dinner the bartender prepares for us. It's tasty and hot. It's perfect for frigid night days like this. It feels like a night with friends. Something I never had in a while. Sleepovers only happened to me in secondary school, but now it doesn't because of caring for Markus, the house, online school, and my father still wary of my powers.

This night out is like when we don't have to worry about school, the issues at home, and Emily Rose on the ceiling. It feels uplifting upon the cold winter-like spring day. We are laughing and getting to know more about the coven without all the stress. Ella works at a spa. She never took a day off until Ivelisse became 'terribly ill.' She received raises and her co-workers love her. They missed her and hope she will return soon. Dominique manages an online business. What stings me is the stalking ability comes randomly when I don't want to use it. It's never my business. Dominique's kids were lost young from separate ailments over many years- All so young. She lost her husband and had enough. Therefore, she moved to London from Colombia to start a new life. Her aura tells me that she's not fully enjoying it, but it was better than the last life. Blathnaid became the scholar of the coven with her studies focusing on the occult after secondary school. She wrote journals and books for people all over the world that are interested in that category to read.
