Day 151

The spies were the warning signs of the impending attack. Netedinark sent thousands of men towards the outskirt villages alone. His first attack I've seen on Gaeriscelleh was after the Oudera Festival, and that was sneaky. His quick-thinking plans are failing harder than his empire failing. He sent troops to Jersome and Titane. I never saw several civilians flee from their home to avoid their bloody demise. It's a wonder how many troops that Netedinark has after losing a good chunk from the last battle.

Naomi, Dominique, Ivelisse, Bracus, and I are fending off as many troops as we can handle. Many cities are being destroyed in the affected empires.

Day 156

This grueling task is endless. Evanity troops are now going into battle, and so did Jersome and Titane to defend their territory. Blathnaid is here. The Teketa's Lord is not going to stop at anything to regain lost ground. Why doesn't he just let go? He still has land to manage and his people. The war grounds are not covered in vast flames, but the ground has become contaminated with dismantled corpses. Jersomians keep spewing gas that causes everyone to cough up blood and vomit within its radius.

Bracus decided to attack Netedinark in a solo battle at the Teketa palace. Dominique decides for us to help him. Our troops can handle it with Evanity's help.

"Watch your step, guys," Dominique warns, "There's so much damage."

We hear the castle rumbling and croaking, and can't support itself any longer. Distance explosions can be heard all around us. It's both from the front lines near Gaeriscelleh hundreds of miles away and inside the castle. I look at Naomi by my side. I am not too keen for her to be in this situation. She keeps getting dragged into unwanted things, and I dream of her having an actual break. No, not some vacation, but a break from fighting. Why did she come back here? Netedinark is still here. It's not safe for her just yet.

"Why are you here?" I ask her while we rush beside each other.

"To do my job," she answers.

I glare at Dominique who is in the middle of all of us. She catches my threatening glare.

"It was her choice, Markus," she tells me.

"Still," I remark coldly.

"Markus, I'm fine," Nao intervenes.

She better stop lying between her teeth. It's not fine and she better not bury it too.

"Have you ever thought about the danger you're putting yourself through?"

"We're doing this every day, Markus," she groans in annoyance.

"'ey, will ya two cut it out?" Ivelisse orders, "T'is isn't a time to argue."

"We're not, Ivelisse," Naomi defends.

"Halt!" Dominique shouts out an order. We do so as we watch a thick portion of the castle fall right down in front of us. The dust from rubble kisses us before dying down. We wait until Dominique orders us to resume at an alarming pace. Harsh explosions are getting louder. The castle is shaking turbulently. A rain of dark rocks and dust tries to stop us. Naomi places up a force field to protect us as we run, so does Ivelisse. Her shield is almost see-through with sparks dancing around inside of it. Her power has evolved from massive energy explosions into a thunderous roar. I don't full-on agree it's good. They feel trapped by the amount of power.

Dominique orders us to resume. Bracus's and Netedinark's player versus player is a wall or two ahead of us. "Get ready," she whispers to us. The rocks floated at my command. I alter them into daggers and set them ablaze. Something I haven't done for a long time. It's about time I use them again without the thought of losing control getting in the way. Aelen transforms into his demonic self. Dominique's eyes go wolf-like. Ivelisse gives a smirk and thumbs up as she morphs herself into a tiny flat dot again. Naomi looks uneasy as red lightning circulates her body like she's a cumulonimbus cloud herself.
