Part 3: Father McKelsey

Markus

"O' the switch," I state as the portal behind me closes up, "The cards have flipped over. You're the darkness's pet and I am liberated."

Several dark beings form around him. They look like shadow mists of the unknown. He lifts his hand up without saying a word. His minions lurch towards me. The barrage comes up to the surface and booms. His shadows are gone, but I hit him. He yelps as he steps back. He kneels while gasping and seething.

"It will be a shame if Naomi doesn't see you again," I say while walking to him without any fear, "My brother."

He recovers and tries to summon up shadow beings, but fails. I grab him by the throat and push him against the wall.

"Let me help you," I say to him while I place a hot hand on his forehead. Hot. Oh, I mean, hot white flames enter his head. His head glows as he cries out. His voice sounds like unholy choirs joining up to rain mayhem down on Earth. I let go of him as he whimpers. He falls to his knees, crying.

He winces at me. He is normal again. The dark eyes and veins are gone. Netedinark's manipulative powers are cold and can't withstand the heat or it wasn't Netedinark's power, but the power the Teketa have. It surrounds the brain with a sick dark coating. It gets incinerated by my flames. It did protect his brain from exploding though. In Naomi's memories, the Teketa suffer in the heat. It's a weakness and I use that against them if they march in my path.

"Markus? You're standing," he notes.

"I've been standing for a hundred days now."

"Where are we?"

"An evil lair in another realm," I explain to him, "You've been controlled."

"By who?"

"Netedinark," I gulp furiously, "You were like this for hundreds of days."

He clutches his head. "My head burns."

"My bad," I confess, "I was burning away his corruption."

"Why are we here?"

I gulp again.

"Rescue mission."

"Where's Naomi?"

My lips curl. "We're freeing her right now."

His eyes widen as he freaks out, "Where is she? Tell me right now!"
