Chapter 32: toilet talks and stupid mistakes

I'm standing with Austin and Kevin in line for the club. I honestly lost track of our conversation. On our way here we ate the rest of the brownies.

And we ended up spending half an hour lying in the grass next to the street. Well, I lay there while Austin puked a little and Kev climbed onto trees.

But then we finally made it here.

Am I stupid? Positive. I first had a big fight with Austin, then took the ecstasy pill, then I drank a few beers with Austin's dad of all people. After that we ruined a fucking expensive statue and lastly I ate a bunch of weed at the chinese restaurant and on my way here. I'll have a drug test tomorrow. You turn eighteen only once, I guess.

"Hey, you're Sammy, right?" I hear a female voice call out from next to me.

I turn around and find Carla's friend Cathy. Was it Cathy or Cassie? I forgot again.

"Oh thank god, I thought I had to wait in line for hours." She says and quickly lines up with us. "The others are already inside."

She gives me a tight hug. "Glad to see you again." She says. "Who are your cute friends?" She asks as she pulls away.

"Uhm, Kevin and Austin." I introduce them, pointing to each of them.

She smiles at them and introduces herself. Shit, I didn't listen when she said her name.

She's wearing a tight revealing shirt, short skirt and high boots. And cat ears? I almost forgot it's halloween.

I find Kevin looking her up and down. He looks like he just fell head over heels in love.

Cathy talks to Austin, leaning uncomfortably close to him.

"Who's that chick?" Kevin whispers.

"Carla and Harry's friend." I explain.

He nods. "Is she single?" He asks me instantly.

"Dude, you just came back from meeting Jessica's family." I bring up.

"Yeah, but I mean, Jessica is crazy. It's not like I wanna see her again. And I'll be leaving tomorrow." He argues.

It makes me a little bit mad that he talks down on Jessica so much. "I like Jessica. She's my friend, so stop saying she's crazy all the time." I tell him angrily.

Kevin holds up his hands in defense. "Sorry, sorry, I thought you also find her weird." He says.

I do, I find her weird, but she's also fun to hang out with.

"Cathy is too old for you anyway." I say to him, rolling my eyes. I don't know how old she is, but definitely above twenty. She's studied, so she has to be at least twenty-one.

Kevin smirks. "Well she definitely doesn't care how old Austin is." He says, looking at them.

I follow his gaze and see her basically throwing herself at Austin.

Who the fuck does that bitch think she is? Why doesn't Austin tell her to fuck off?

I watch them talk and then they laugh about something, making me even more furious.

Kevin clears his throat to gain their attention.

"Uhm, so you said the others are inside. Were you talking about Harry and Noah?" Kevin asks her.

She beams at him. "Yes I did. So you know each other."

They start talking and I mouth a 'thank you' to Kevin. Austin just smiles stupidly at me.
