Chapter 90: a lot of alcohol and apologies

The week goes by quickly. I have to talk to the police on wednesday and on thursday. They ask me a bunch of questions, I'm sure I already answered.

I also have to look at the two videos and answer a few questions regarding those. My aunt also gets a look at the videos.

She tells me afterwards how sorry she is that I had to go through this and that I don't have to be ashamed of being so weak. Of course that makes me even more embarrassed.

She assures me that the videos won't be shown to anyone at the trial.

"And then you made the recording?" My aunt asks after we watch the video of me in Noah's flat.

"The next day, yes." I explain.

She hasn't listened to the recording yet, but she has a copy now.

"Right." She says. She looks at me like she wants to say something else.

"What?" I ask her annoyed.

"I couldn't help but notice your pants were open in the video from saturday. You didn't mention that to me." She says carefully.

I feel my face heat up. What do I say now?

"Uhm, yeah, well I told you how he cut my stomach? I guess he opened my pants. I didn't even realize." I say with a nervous laugh.

She sighs. "I know you're uncomfortable talking to me about this, but if anything else happened you have to tell me that." She says.

"Nothing happened. It was how I told you." I say

Because it doesn't matter what else happened. No one needs to know that. Almost getting killed is bad enough as it is.

I have to show up at the preliminary hearing on tuesday. I'm really nervous, but also relieved to be able to get this over with so soon.

We will discuss my case and right after that Ann's.

Right now Harry and Carla are over. Austin is meeting up with Nathan and the others.

"She said you and Ann are both crazy." Carla says as she tells me about what Cathy told her.

Looks like Cathy won't be at court on our side. She will most likely only be there as witness on Noah's side.

"What is wrong with her?" I ask angrily.

"I have no idea. She said you were high not too long ago and she tried to help you and you attacked her and hurt her eye." Carla says with a questioning expression.

I think back to when I was at the train station tripping hard.

"Oops. That could be true. That was a few weeks ago." I explain. "When Austin was still in a coma."

"Yeah, well, tell your aunt that. She will probably use that to explain that you must have imagined everything." Carla explains.

"I don't get why Cathy is on Noah's side." Harry says.

We discuss a little about Cathy and come to the conclusion she must really think that Noah is innocent. Cathy is also in a video, but I'm pretty sure now that that one was consensual. Cathy is very open about her sex life, I'm pretty sure she mentioned having sex with Noah before.

After that we gladly talk about easier topics.

"Tomorrow we go to Caleb's garage to pre game and then go to the end of year party." Carla explains excitedly.

I roll my eyes. My parents really actually agreed to let me go out with Caleb. I voiced my problems with that, but he assured us it will be alright.

"But his garage is like two hours away." I point out.
