Adam and Dylan are making out. Is this real?
"Okay. I feel fucking lonely now, so I'll try to find a new girlfriend, who's my soulmate and future wife. See you." Nora says and then she disappears in the crowd.
I put the syringe in the front pocket of my hoodie and then take a deep breath. I take a step towards them and tab Dylan's shoulder.
He turns his head to me. "I'm busy." He says angrily and instantly turns back around.
But Adam is busy staring at me wide eyed. He's frozen in place, his hands still on Dylan's hips.
"Didn't expect to see you here." I say awkwardly.
Dylan looks at me with his eyebrows raised and then back at Adam. "Oh come on, you know him, too? What's going on?" He asks. "Are we maybe secretly related as well?"
Then he looks at Adam wide eyed. "Wait, how old are you? You're over 18, right?" He asks.
"He's 19, I think." I tell him because Adam doesn't seem to answer.
"18 actually." He corrects me, still looking at me with a shocked expression.
I look between them. Actually. Yes. That could work. I can see that work out. I ship it.
Dylan lays his arms over each of our shoulders. "That's fucking crazy, right?" He asks us. "Like- what are the odds?"
"Okay. I'm gonna leave you two alone now. Carry on." I say and push his arm off me and then quickly turn around and leave to give them some privacy and get to that staff room again.
I walk in and find two girls making out on the couch.
They look at me for a second and then continue what they are doing. They don't even seem distracted by my presence.
I pull my sleeve up over my elbow, ready to give myself another shot.
"There you are." Adam says, closing the door behind him.
The two girls look at us, frowning at Adam.
One of them scoffs. "Let's go somewhere without a perv watching us." She says, narrowing her eyes at Adam.
He raises one eyebrow, looking at them confused.
They both leave, sending dirty looks Adam's way. I'm fucking lost. What just happened?
Adam looks at me just as confused as I do. Why is he a creep while I'm not a problem?
Is it- is it because he looks straight and I don't?
He shakes his head. "What are you doing here?" He asks me.
"Me?" I ask. "What are you doing here?"
He grabs my arms. "Sammy, is anyone else from our school here?" He asks me anxiously.
Oh. He's sober.
I shake my head. "Not that I know of." I tell him. "And if there were, I'm pretty sure none of them would be straight." I tell him.
He takes a relieved breath.
"Are you? You're-" I don't even know what to say. "So, you plan on coming out or what?" I ask him.
"No way." He says instantly. "My parents are gonna kill me."
"Okay. But then why are you here?" I ask him confused.
"Why do you think I'm here?" He asks me with a bored expression.
To hook up with gay dudes without having to come out probably.
