"Sammy! You're gonna miss the firework." I hear Harry's annoying voice.
I feel a weight drop on me and open my eyes confused.
Harry is lying on top of Austin and me. He probably just jumped in between us.
"Fucking hell. Get off!" Austin yells angrily.
Harry likes to climb on top of people and on things when he's drunk. It's a recurring pattern.
"Look!" Harry says and sits up, pushing me off the couch.
I fall on the floor with a thump. "Ouch." I mumble.
I can hear something loud from outside the windows and sit up, leaning on the windowsill.
Sleeping for a bit definitely helped me sober up and I'm so freaking glad I'm not as drunk anymore.
Outside Caleb is driving in his car. The tires are smoking and he's leaving skid marks on the concrete of the parking lot outside. I'm assuming he's pressing the gas and the brake at the same time and ruining his tires completely.
Fuck the environment, I guess.
"What's he doing?" I ask sleepily.
"He said he wants to shoot fireworks out of the car. We're driving to the party now. Wanna come along?" Harry asks me.
"Is he gonna be driving?" Austin asks, looking out the window, too. "Caleb is drunk. He's not driving there, right?"
"It's just a five minute drive." Harry explains. "He already brought Ryan, Laura, Ben and Kyle there."
I look at Austin, finding an angry expression. Not good.
I wanna say something, but hear two explosions outside followed by a high pitched scream.
I look outside and see Caleb getting out of the car, laughing as a firework explodes inside his car.
He's so fucking stupid. That firework could have exploded in his face. I swear, someday he'll get hurt badly if he keeps behaving so recklessly.
Harry starts laughing as Caleb opens the car door in the back and grabs the firework box and throws it on the ground next to him and then runs away just in time before two more fireworks go off, flying in random directions, one even hitting another car.
I gasp. "What the hell is he doing?" I ask.
"I told him they will go off inside instead of flying out the window." Harry says, clutching his stomach from laughing so hard.
I look at Austin, who looks pissed off.
"Uhm. Harry. Please take a cab or walk. Caleb is completely wasted." I tell him.
Harry laughs. "Come on, it's fine. He knows how to drive. He already dropped the others off. Let's get to the party." He says.
"Are you all fucking stupid?" Austin asks. "He's not driving like that."
Austin is all up for fun, but driving under the influence of any kind of drug always triggers him and makes him lose it.
Obviously I agree. Caleb shouldn't drive drunk. Even if it's just five minutes.
Three more fireworks ignite and fly around, exploding in the air, on the street and one underneath Caleb's car. The box seems to be empty and I take a relieved breath.
"Let's go!" I can hear Caleb shout from downstairs.
"Are you coming?" Harry asks us.
"No way." I say. "I'm still too drunk to even stand."
