"I can't believe you're back together!" Nora says as she parks in front of the school building.

"Yeah, crazy." Austin says, sounding annoyed by her.

"Actually no, not so crazy. You were miserable without him." She says.

"Yeah, Nora, we get it, thanks." He says annoyed.

"No, seriously." She says and turns around to me. "He was whining all the time. The moment you broke up and left, he was crying almost every day."

He sighs, already given up arguing with her.

Nora is clearly high on something. I'm not sure what, but the way she talks and moves makes it very obvious. At least obvious to me, apparently not to Austin. And that brings me to the question whether or not I should mention it to him.

"It was horrible to watch. Austin acted like-" She keeps talking until I cut her off.

"Uhm, yeah, I also missed Austin a whole lot." I say and look at him. "That was one of the biggest mistakes in my life."

Austin nods. "But you were right."

"How come you ended up back together? Give me the tea!" She whines.

I point over to him with my thumb. "He climbed through my window."

"How romantic." She muses happily.

"Not really. I just needed a window to try it." Austin says.

I box him playfully and he chuckles.

"Just like that?" She asks.

"Well, he texted me to open the window first." I explain.

"Right. You had to remove your plants first." She says.

"Yup." I say.

"But why did you do that all of a sudden?" She asks Austin. "First you two kiss and then you meet up with someone else and then you suddenly get back together."

"He didn't meet up with someone else, but with me. But more as friends." I explain.

She gasps. "What? But why did you have to drive so far?"

Austin groans. "Why are you always so damn nosy?" He asks her.

"Nosy? That's just a normal question! Did you meet up somewhere else?" She asks.

I let out a sigh. "He visited me in the hospital because I overdosed." I confess to stop her from asking questions.

Which is ridiculous because she's just gonna ask more questions now.

"Oh." She says as she looks at me wide eyed. "Man, was it bad?"

I shake my head. "No, it wasn't. I was lucky that Austin told my parents and they called an ambulance." I explain.

"Wait, wait, wait. You were at a different hospital. Why that?" She asks.

"I was in my hometown." I explain.

"Visiting friends?" She asks.

I look at Austin unsure. I should probably tell her the truth. He shrugs his shoulders.

"No, to drive up a mountain and overdose." I tell her.

She frowns confused. "And you did that why?"

I scratch my head. "Uhm, you know- to kill myself." I mumble.

Nora bites her teeth together and looks at me as if to read my expression. She sighs and turns around. "Ugh, now I have to get out of the car." She complains and unbuckles her seatbelt and gets out.
