Alexia (present time)

"Why god, why? Why did you bring him here?" I cried to myself as I paced anxiously in my room.

The god surely do hate me. If not then why should he bring Aarvin here as Ryle? Aarvin and Ryle-one person? Why didn't he give me a fucking clue?! I did nothing wrong to him, I was always well behaved and I always walked on the good path. Well.. The fact that I don’t believe in him, doesn’t count right.?

I don't know how I managed to escape the Mcbain's house yesterday after seeing Aarvin there. He was staring me down with the same blank look, which may I add- I was glad for.

He didn't say anything to me. Before he could even try, I high tailed out of the house using a white lie which worked perfectly on everyone but Aarvin, of course, who lifted his eyebrow unsurprisingly at me. Like, I did exactly what he was expecting me to do.

It has been over two weeks since I left London and I didn't think I would have to meet him this soon. To put the cherry on the cake, I still don't have a fucking clue of where the file is.

"Will you please move a little? I can't pace"

Gritting my teeth, I looked at Kevin who was also pacing beside me in my small room, irritating the hell out of me.

"Why don't you just go and sit on your ass?" I snapped.

"What ?! I'm also nervous okay? After you left, he came to collect the file and drive on the third day itself. And it took us forever to convince him that you went in search for the file and didn't came back. Now he is here and I don't know what we are going to do when he asks for the file! It has been more than two weeks for GOD'S SAKE!!" He screamed with a horror striken face.

"Dude. Why are you making her more nervous?" Asked Gwen as he sat there legs crossed on my bed beside Helen.

"I'm not making her nervous, I'm just stating facts"

"Okay…Stop. Alexia I-" whatever Helen was going to say was cut short by Lessia who opened the door with a bang.

"Oops. Sorry! Did I interrupt your hangout?" Lessia said sheepishly standing at the threshold.

"No. It's okay. Did you need something?" I asked pinching my nose.

I was becoming more and more restless each day. First, I came here to stop the wedding and now, here I was playing cupid for my sister and her fiancé. Second, I came here to take a breather from all the mess back in London and now, the same mess had come here, to New York on a flight. Literally.

"Nothing.." She said with a cheeky grin which in itself was unnerving.

"Is Ronald here?" I inquired suspiciously and her smile widened at my question proving me right.

"Okay. He is here. Then why are you here and not there?" I wish my voice didn't express how much uninterested I was in her lovelife. Even if I had to sweat for it to actually become a ‘love'life in the first place.

It was not a surprise to see Ronald coming and leaving the house whenever he want. I have become used to him following my sister around like a lost puppy. But I am coming to think that if it isn't a bit tooo much.

"Actually I came to bring you guys down. Mr. Anderson is also here and he wants to meet you all”

"WHAT?!" Four different variations of pitches echoed in the room.

"A-Any problem?" Alessia stuttered startled by our sudden outburst.

Without wasting our time, we all sprinted down  down the stairs to the living room. My legs halted on their own account on seeing Aarvin standing in my living room. MY LIVING ROOM!!
