Jake woke up the next morning with a grumble, someone was shaking him out of his sleep. Slowly opening his eyes, they lock onto his boyfriend's, who had a huge smile on his face
"What do you want, Devon?" Jake's question coming out much harsher than intended
"You really aren't a morning person." Devon flopped down on his chest
"I'm sorry, love. What can I do for you?" Jake smiled sweetly
"Just keep looking at me like that, I love it when you look at me like that. It's like I'm the only person in the world who matters to you." Devon daydreamed
"It's like 3 AM, what are you doing up so early?" Jake whined
"I couldn't sleep, I started thinking about you. I put one foot in front of the other, now I'm here." Devon explained
"I can't really be mad at you." Jake blushed
Devon caressed his cheek and leaned forward to kiss his soft lips. Jake melted into the kiss and flipped them over, his hands wrapped tightly around his waist while his boyfriend tugged on his curls, making the kiss deeper, more passionate. Seconds later, Devon pulled away, giggling up a storm once he saw his boyfriend pout
"Sorry, you're just really pretty." Devon smiled
"I hate keeping our relationship under wraps." Jake sighed
"I know, but at least I get to be with you. Not being able to see you for six months really messed with my head." Devon says
"I never told you why I never came back, did I?" Jake asked, getting off his boyfriend's lap to lay next to him
"No, you didn't." Devon says
"Pam and Larry threatened to put me back into the system. It was either stop seeing you or go back into the orphanage. There was a chance that I never would've saw you or Lexy again, I didn't want that to happen." Jake's eyes watered
"Your foster parents are douchebags. I would've done anything just to see you again, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me." Devon wiped his tears away
"You're not mad at me?" Jake's voice cracked
"Of course not, I love you too much." Devon kissed his forehead
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, I was afraid you'd flip." Jake hung his head
"Hey, it's okay. I'm here, I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere, I promise." Devon held him in his arms, listening to him sob before he fell asleep moments later
The alarm clock goes off at 7 AM, waking up the two boys. Jake lifts his head off Devon's chest and shakes him awake, ignoring his constant whining
"Devon, wake up. We have to go to class." Jake whispered in his ear
"Don't do that." Devon grasps onto his t-shirt and pulled him forward, making their noses bump
"Do what?" Jake teased
"You know, the whispering in my ear thing." Devon rolled his eyes
"You love it." Jake gave him a peck on the lips before jumping up from the bed
"Can't we just skip?" Devon flailed around on the bed
"That's a tempting offer, but you know they'll catch on." Jake threw his uniform on the chair beside the mirror
"I'll go to class, but I won't like it." Devon whined, rushing into his boyfriend's arms
"You're so cute when you're upset." Jake kissed his forehead
