The next morning, Jazz and Billy woke up to the soft golden rays of sunlight streaming through the windows of their room. The early birds chirped outside, their melodies blending with the gentle rustle of leaves stirred by a light breeze. The boys, remnants of a late-night study session still clinging to their eyelids, lay intertwined in Billy's bed. Billy had his arms securely wrapped around Jazz's waist, his head nestled comfortably into the crook of Jazz's neck, a position that felt more like home than any other place they could imagine. Jazz chuckled softly, the sound reverberating lightly in the stillness of the room. He felt a surge of affection for Billy, this boy who had become both his confidant and his comfort over the past few years. With a tender smile, he planted a soft kiss on Billy's cheek, savoring the warmth of the moment. The gentle brush of their skin sent a tingle down Jazz's spine, and he could feel the corners of his mouth turn upwards uncontrollably, a cozy haven adorned with posters of their favorite bands and sketches they've drawn together over the years.

"Good morning, sleepyhead." Jazz whispered, his voice light and teasing

"Mm, no. It's too early for all that sentimental BS." Billy mumbled, nuzzling deeper into Jazz's neck

"Come on, we can't stay in bed all day." Jazz said, drawing away slightly but still allowing his body to linger close to Billy's

"I got a better idea. How about we skip, and stay in bed for a little while longer? Sleeping in isn't the worst thing in the world when you've got a bed like this and a friend like you." Billy replied, his eyes still closed, a smirk flickering across his lips

"Why do I put up with you?" Jazz chuckled

Suddenly, the bed shifted, and within seconds, Billy was on top of Jazmere, staring him down with a mischievous glint in his eyes, their laughter filling the room. Jazz propped himself up on one elbow, looking at Billy and soaking in the sight of his messy hair and drowsy smile.

"Deep down, you know I'm irresistible." Billy joked, gesturing dramatically as if he were on stage

"Irresistible? More like delusional." Jazz quipped

"I prefer ‘charmingly absurd.’ I think you're just too mesmerized by my undeniable charisma to resist." Billy whispered in his ear, teasingly dragging his lips over his earlobe, sending shivers down his spine

"Charmingly absurd, huh? Please, spare me. The only chance you'll have with me are in your dreams, because in reality, I'm way too good for you." Jazz shot back, a playful grin spreading across his face

"Really? I didn't hear you complaining when we were entwined in that passionate make-out session in the janitor's closet." Billy countered, a playful smirk dancing in the corners of his mouth

"You're insufferable." Jazz laughed

Jazz finally managed to roll Billy off him, ending up on top, and looked down at his best friend. The sunlight illuminated Billy's tousled hair, giving him an almost ethereal glow that made Jazz's heart soar. In this moment, he realized how much more than friends they had become, but the thought stirred a mix of excitement and fear that he swiftly tucked away.

"Just admit it, you love it! You love being tangled up in the sheets, the sunlight gliding over our skin, and the warmth of my body against yours." Billy chuckled, slowly trailing gentle kisses along his jawline

"Okay, fine, I do love it. It's just not fair— how can I concentrate on anything when you're always being so… you?" Jazz breathed, feeling the weight of Billy's kisses and the earnestness of his words settle in his heart

"A magician never reveals his secrets." Billy replied, his husky voice sending chills down Jazz's spine

"Alright, Houdini, let's think of an escape plan from this bed then. I'm starving!" Jazz said, reluctantly pulling himself away
