Nadine had been called down to father Bryce's office for more insight about Tyler Matthews, leaving Lexy alone to deal with her friends. Knocking on devon's door, he peeks his head out before opening it, revealing his boyfriend fidgeting with his tie.
"Your dad never taught you how to do this?" Lexy asked, stepping into the room and approaching him
"No, not really." Jake huffed, watching her loosen his tie before fixing it up
"It's not hard, I watched my mom do it for my dad whenever they planned their fancy dinner parties." Lexy explained
"Your parents didn't sound that horrible." Jake smiled
"Dude, have you met my mother?" Lexy raised her eyebrow, ignoring Devon's laughter in the background
"Thank you, Lexy." Jake said
"Not problem. Now let's go! We're going to be late." Lexy patted his shoulder
They follow her out the room and down the stairs, where Devon sparks up a conversation.
"What did you and Nadine do last night?" Devon asks, deciding to be a bit nosy
"Don't laugh, but she put together a bunch of snacks for us to eat and we watched movies all night." Lexy grinned
"What, like a date?" Jake asked
"Yeah, and I really liked it. I mean, I liked holding her hand and listening to her laugh whenever I jumped at every little thing. She went out of her way to make it a special night and it was sweet of her to do so." Lexy pouted
"Back to my original statement, Nadine totally likes you." Devon beamed
"No way, she's just being friendly. No one ever truly likes me." Lexy stuttered over her words
"Considering how much of a bitch you used to be, I completely agree." Jake joked
"I hope you get hit by a bus, Wheeler." Lexy playfully rolled her eyes
"If she went out of her way to ask you out, then she likes you." Jake assured
"I think I might like her, too. She asked if I'd like to go on another date sometime and I said yes. Guys, I haven't used in quite a while and I think it's because of her. Call me crazy, but I think she saved my life." Lexy rambled
"Well, I think it's your chance to tell her that." Jake turned her head, making her lock eyes onto Nadine, who was standing by her lockers
"Yeah, I'll see you guys later." Lexy waved goodbye, watching them head down the hall and disappear from sight
Lexy rubbed her sweaty palms on her skirt and approached Nadine, who's nose was buried into a mythology book. Taking a break from a chapter, she looks up and jumps when she catches her roommate staring at her.
"Lexy! You scared me." Nadine chuckled
"Oh, I'm sorry." Lexy's eyes softened
"No worries. I'm sorry I left in such a hurry this morning. I know you're used to our early morning conversations." Nadine giggled
"No need to apologize, I understand. Can I talk to you about last night?" Lexy asked
"Yeah, sure. What's on your mind, Cinderella?" Nadine asked
Before Lexy could tell her everything she told the boys, Nessa approaches them and interrupts their conversation
"Nadine, do you still have those notes from sister Mary's class? I've been missing a few lessons and I really need to catch up." Nessa says
