The following morning, Delilah woke up to find her roommate in bed next to her. Confused, she sat up and gently woke Blair by shaking her. Blair, still half asleep, held onto Delilah's hand and rested her head on her shoulder. Delilah's heart raced at the unexpected affection, but she managed to calm herself and shake Blair awake a second time. Blair rubbed her eyes, squinted, then blushed in embarrassment as realization dawned on her.

"Why are you staring at me?" Blair grunted

"Probably because you're in my bed, on my side of the room. You know, the side you said you'd never cross." Delilah shrugged

"It's too early for this." Blair whined

"What is it? Do you deal with night terrors?" Delilah asks

"Sometimes. I guess it's easier to cope with when I'm lying next to someone. I would've asked to sleep with you, but you looked so peaceful. I didn't want to wake you up." Blair explained

"It's all good." Delilah chuckled

"I never got to thank you." Blair says

"For what?" Delilah asks

Before Blair could respond to the question, a loud knock on the door interrupted her. She was ready to get up and answer the door, but Delilah stopped her, urging her to stay put. Blair reluctantly agreed and remained on the bed. Delilah sighed in frustration, put on her slippers, and went to open the door, only to be met with an unwelcome visitor, Tyler Matthews.

"Great! It's the wicked witch of Incarnate Lord." Tyler sneered

"That's funny coming from the ugly flying monkey standing in front of me! Go away. I got better things to do than talk to a woman beater." Delilah snapped

"I just want to talk to my girl." Tyler sighed

"Well, she doesn't want to talk. Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you!" Delilah waved

"You speak for her now? Is she sleeping with you too? God, I should get swabbed for gonorrhea." Tyler muttered

"Trust me, dude. If I were sleeping with your ex-girlfriend, any memories of you would have been disposed of, burned, and thrown into a trash compactor." Delilah smugly responded

Tyler shoved Delilah backwards in a fit of rage, then stepped inside and slammed the door. He cracked his knuckles and tried to calm himself before approaching Delilah, who still had a smug expression on her face. Delilah rolled up her sweater sleeves and balled up her fists, preparing to engage in a physical altercation.

"What can you give her that I can't?" Tyler growled

"Reassurance, trust, love. All things you clearly lack." Delilah stepped to him

"If you think I'm going to let some tired ass lesbo take my girl away from me, then we got a problem." Tyler threatened

"Where I'm from, I'll give a fucker a beat down in a second. Don't let this preppy attitude fool you, clown. Put your hands on me again, I'll take a bat to those ashy ass knees of yours and you're going to find out what life is like as a cripple." Delilah says

"You don't scare me." Tyler chuckled

"Okay, but the idea of your girl being stolen out from under you scares you, doesn't it?" Delilah says

Tyler pushed Delilah to the ground, once again provoking her. As she got up, she grabbed a glass bottle off her desk and smashed it against the surface. Confronting Tyler, she held the broken bottle to his throat, causing blood to trickle. Blair stepped in, calmly convincing Delilah to drop the bottle. Delilah eventually complied and lowered the bottle, but remained by Blair's side, refusing to leave until her ex-boyfriend had left.
