Chapter 10: Bullies

(a/n: I didn't know what to name the chapter so go with it please I just didn't want to leave it empty💀)

El's pov

It was next day. "hey!" chloe said smiling once I sat down in class. "hey" I said smiling back. "you seem happy" she said smiling even more.

"I just got the news that will and I will be going to Hawkins in 2 weeks for spring break!" I said smiling. She gasped.

"no way! I'm so happy for you!" she said excitedly making me giggle. "you're finally gonna get to see your boyfrienddd" she said smirking making me laugh

"Let's hope he's excited to see me" I said sarcastically but deep down it hurt because I felt like he didn't like me anymore much because he barely wrote to me plus never told me that he loves me

"Hey-"she said placing her hand on top of mine. "I'm sure he's excited to see you! He's probably just scared to show his emotions" she said. I nodded.

"I guess we'll see how it goes" I said. She nodded agreeing. Suddenly I heard laughs. I turned to my right to see Angela and her friends whispering something while looking at me, definitely mocking me

I didn't say anything and just turned back. "why is your hair short?" suddenly Angela asked making everyone laugh as if she said the most funniest joke ever

I didn't reply. "what's wrong with having short hair! Plus her hair isn't completely short, it's shoulder length hair" chloe said. Angela laughed. "Same thing" she said

"her hair are so pretty what are you talking about?" Austin  said. "yeah, it looks just fine! Brown wavy curls" chloe said frowning confused on what's wrong with my hair. I hated that I couldn't stand up for myself, and that others had to. It made me feel weak.

But I just couldn't. Angela didn't say anything. "alright kids let's start" the teacher suddenly said. He was busy trying to find something on his laptop. He was literally in his own world. He didn't care what was going on, pretty sure he had no clue either

But even if he did. Teachers couldn't do anything about us. Being mocked and bullied by others. Angela won't stop.

Then the lesson started. "Are you okay?" chloe quietly asked as she turned around to look me since she was sitting in front of me. I nodded with a small smile. "thanks you didn't have to" I said. "of course, no problem" she said smiling.

*meanwhile in Hawkins*

Max's pov

It was the next day at school. My wrists hurt like hell. Why did i do that to myself. I felt like I deserved the pain.

Even though it was spring, everyone slowly started putting on shirts etc. But I still wore a thin sweatshirt because I've wanted to hide all the bruises from neil plus the new scars

"aren't you hot?" Mike asked me frowning. He has started to finally accept me being in the party but i could tell he was still slightly pissed about it

"nope" I said. "that's weird" he said. I sighed through my nose. Lucas nudged his arm as Mike dramatically groaned. "I didn't even hit you hard dude" lucas said.

"hey are you okay?" lucas asked me quietly. I nodded. "Lucas and maxine stop talking or I'll change your seats, the lesson is about to start" the teacher said.

When I arrived to this new school I was sitting at the back of the class but once I've became friends with the boys, the boys asked the teacher if I could sit on the empty seat next to them. The teacher agreed

"ooo" everyone said smirking in a mocking tone. "Are you two together?" a guy asked laughing. I frowned. "what? No" lucas and I said at the same time.

"isn't she a Dyke?" someone said laughing making everyone laugh as well. "everyone stop it" the teacher said. "just because they're talking it doesn't mean they're together" Dustin defended us. (Dustin doesn't like max in this story like Dustin did in season 2 in the show at first)
