Chapter 76: They know

*Timeskip - 6 months later*

El and Max are still together. Their relationship is quite strong ,the two girls love each other very much. But,all those months they were still not ready to come out to their family.

Max's reason was obviously because they would most likely be homophobic but she wanted to give her family (Billy and max's mom) some time to calm down from that Neil situation

As you know Neil has been arrested and their lives have been changed in the most positive way. The trauma is still there,it will never be gone but at least he is.

Billy was struggling a bit. Trying to live with the fact that he won't be seeing his dad again. He visited him a few times because it's still his father but of course he cannot forget that he was abusive towards his mom as well and him sometimes

That's why Billy is the way he is. Tough,mean,a bit aggressive with Max,a bully and more. But these month after his dad has been in jail he's been trying to work on himself and be a better person .

That's why Max wanted to give them some time on that and not focus on her sexuality but of course the main reason was because she was scared

The three of them have started to become a family. She wouldn't call that family quen Neil was there. Everything sucked when he was home. He destroyed their lives

El on the other hand, was simply scared to come out to her family. Well,except Will who already knew so do their friends.

All these months el and Max have been hanging out but mostly sleepovers. Their parents didn't mind of course. Since the beginning they were happy they had each other.

Because El had never had a girl-friend (same with Max) except the boys so they were happy about that. They thought they didn't suspect anything..or at least hoped so

Max's pov

After all these months El and I have been together,I couldnt be happier. Hell she made me happy the moment I saw her and when we became friends who am I kidding.

One day the party and I hang out at the arcade and then El would have a sleepover at my house.

I avoided bringing her when Neil was around for obvious reasons..and I felt so bad because El didn't know why back then. I didn't want her to think that I didn't want to invite her

At that time I told her that Neil doesn't really let me have sleepovers at my house,not only her etc. What else could I say? I don't know

Anyways El was in my room,us talking and chilling. We were playing some new card games we bought because we were bored

*Flashback a bit before the sleepover whule they were at the arcade*

Third person's pov

Susan was in the kitchen cooking. It was around 7 pm and she was cooking dinner. Billy just came home from the gym.

"Hey Susan" Billy said after walking into the kitchen and sitting down on the island . "Oh! Hey Billy,how are you?" Susan asked . "I'm good,just tired from the gym you know,what about you?" Billy replied

"I'm good, just cooking-Max and Jane are out so the food should be done until they come back " Susan said. "Oh Jane stayed over again?" Billy asked frowning taking a bite out of an apple he took

"Mhm-Max called from the arcade's phone and asked if Jane could stay-of course I said yes" Susan simply said,not showing any signs of annoyance or being bothered by this

"She comes over quite often huh" Billy said suspicious. "Yeah true" she says casually as if it's not a big deal

"So..you don't mind that?" Billy asked. "Why would I mind that?" she asked genuinely confused, as she turned to look at him. Billy shrugged
