A mysterious forest, Universe-603
Cloud sharpened his sword as Incineroar breathed fire to make a campfire. Ryu sat down and asked, "So, what caused you and Pichu to get separated from your universes?"
"Me and Pichu?" Incineroar asked, setting down the firewood. He sat down and ate a chicken leg that he got earlier. "Well, we were from Universe-5010305. We were from the Alola Region of our universe and we got captured by this gang called Team Skull and taken to this place, the Aether Foundation, a few months ago. They experimented on us...wanted Pichu to be stronger. They broke us. Made us into weapons. They are the reason why I can talk. A few days ago before I met you three, we managed to break out with a LOT of Pokemon, and then...the Subspace came out of nowhere, and there was this girl."
"A girl?" Shulk asked.
"Yeah. She's like in her teenage years, Black, with nice hair, and her eyes glowed blue when she summoned this star-shaped portal and... I and Pichu got separated for a bit. But I was still there to see those a-holes capture my friends."
"I'm sorry," Ryu said.
"Yeah. Sorry 'bout your friends, mate." Shulk patted Incineroar's shoulder.
"Now, what are you guys doing here?" Incineroar asked.
"Well, I was doing my church services with a friend of mine, and then the Subspace attacked my home, and...Sephiroth appeared," Cloud answered.
"Bet he's not a friend," Shulk asked.
"He's NOT! He killed my friend! This ribbon on my shoulder is all that I have left of her." Cloud looked at Aerith's ribbon on his shoulder. "And every time I think I killed that demon, he keeps coming back."
"Damn...I think that you need therapy."
"WANNA SAY THAT AGAIN?!?!" Cloud stood up and swung the Buster Sword at Shulk.
"WOAH!!" Shulk parried the sword with the Monado and quickly activated the Smash ability of the sword.
The two clashed swords again and then Incineroar released some more fire from his breath. "STOP IT!!!!" the Pokemon shouted.
Cloud growled at Incineroar and Pichu scowled and sparked. Ryu stood up and Incineroar said, "We all may have connections to the Subspace! So we NEED to team up! No fighting among us! And we need to find others like us to figure out how to stop them."
"Fine. So I can figure out what in GOD'S name is going on." Cloud sighed and sat down.
Ryu sat down again and heard the tea kettle that he had from his duffel bag whistle. "Tea's ready."
He pulled out a few bowls and handed each of them one. He poured the tea into each of the team's bowls and Pichu licked from his. Incineroar sipped from his and said, "You know...I'm actually weak to water-themed attacks."
"Really?" Shulk chuckled.
"Yeah. I'm a Fire/Dark-type Pokemon. Pokemon like me possess a wide range of elemental attacks and types, including Fire, Water, Grass, Dark, Poison, Ground, Rock, Ghost, Psychic, Flying, Ice, and many more."
"Interesting. Your universe sounds like a place I would like to visit." Ryu said.
"Yeah, you should. We have numerous regions in my universe."
"Pichu!" Pichu said.
Incineroar chuckled and Cloud said, "You and your yellow rat thing remind me of a friend of mine, Red XIII."
"I don't know if that's a compliment or not." Incineroar sipped more from his tea.
Ryu suddenly noticed something and said, "Everyone, be on guard..."
"Why?"
Suddenly, flames roared from every direction. "OH, SHIT!!!" Cloud and Shulk both exclaimed.
The five all ducked from the flames and twenty Primids appeared with red bodies and green eyes. These were classified as Fire Primids. Ryu prepared to fight and Shulk activated the Buster ability of the Monado.
Pichu released a Thunder Jolt at a Fire Primid but it recoiled and hit him back. Incineroar activated a Flamethrower attack and Cloud swung his Buster Sword at a Fire Primid. A duo of them released streams of fire that Shulk quickly dashed away from and extended the sword's beam to hit a few of them. Ryu kicked a Primid and shouted, "HADOKEN!!"
He fired a Hadoken and hit a few Fire Primids. The creatures kept coming and attacking the five. Pichu got burned and Incineroar cradled him in his arms. He handed Pichu to Ryu and said, "That's it! THAT'S IT!!! It's time to activate...my ultimate power! It's called...a Z-Move!"
"Sounds nice, mate..." Shulk said. "...What's it called?"
"It's time to use...MAX MALICIOUS MOONSAULT!!!!"
Incineroar's belt glowed a red crystal and he dashed toward the remaining Fire Primids and wrapped them into a bear hug. Out of nowhere, a massive wrestling ring materialized beside them. Incineroar hurled the Fire Primids into the ring, and as they bounced back from the ropes, he delivered an uppercut, sending them flying. With great agility, he leaped into the air and dropkicked them, followed by another uppercut. Finally, he dove down and headbutted the Fire Primids, causing a huge explosion that consumed the ring. "OH, YEEEEEAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!" Incineroar's voice shouted.
The wrestling ring disappeared and Shulk and Pichu clapped. Incineroar panted from exhaustion and asked, "Was that cool?"
"That was awesome!!" Shulk said. "I've GOT to have a Pokemon right now!!"
"That was pretty impressive, but you should see my Omnislash," Cloud said and he yawned. "Man...Feeling tired already..."
"Yes...I feel like we should retire to sleep." Ryu said.
"Time for bed!" Incineroar exclaimed. "Good night!! Sorry if I snore..."
