Separate Ways [Nijimura Shuzo x Reader] PT.2

A/N- Hey guys! Some people requested for me to make a part 2 of this oneshot (usually I wouldn't do part two's on stories when my requests are closed, but I will make an exception for this one, since I had an idea. (sorry for the people who wanted a part two on my other oneshots ;-; I COULD continue it but I just don't have a good idea for it :( And thank you guys for 101 followers!

It's been four months since Nijimura walked out of your life. For the first two months, evertyime you'd see him on social media, he's be laughing, smiling, kissing, etc with his new girlfriend. The one he left you for. You were obviously devastated and upset. You hated waking up every morning to the cold and empty feeling beside you. But eventually, you started to heal and bounce back to your regular life.

Though you were healing up from the break up, you thought that you weren't able to find love anymore. You simply thought that if you fell in love with someone else, you'd be dumped the same way Nijimura did. And you didn't want that. However, you somehow managed to. Yes, you fell in love again. The person you fell in love with was [B/N], someone who went to work with you. In a short period of time, you became infatuated with him. You didn't know why he had such a strong effect with you but he did. He also found out about your breakup with Nijimura, and he vowed to make you forget about him completely, that you deserved someone else.

And you did forget about him completely.

It has been a year and eleven months with your boyfriend, or now your fiancee, [B/N]. He has proved to be the best thing that has happened in your life, and you couldn't be more happier [just imagine marrying Makoto Tachibana]. He has helped you forget about Nijimura completely. You also deleted him from everything. Your contacts, Instagram, Facebook, etc. You even shredded the breakup letter he gave you.

[B/N] treated you like you were the only thing that ever mattered to him. He didn't say lies, he showed passionate affection no matter what, and most important of all, he truly loved you. Of course, you felt the same way.

While you about to leave for work one day, your phone beeped and you had received a text.

'From: Unkown Number

[L/N], we need to talk. Meet me in the park.' it said, as you raised a brow in confusion.

'Excuse me, who is this?'

'You deleted my number? It's me Nijimura.'

'I'm sorry, I don't know you.'

'It's me, Nijimura Shuzo, the one who broke up with you last year.' when you had read that, painful images from that day flooded your your mind.

'Oh. I remember now. What do you want.'

'To talk. Please.' you were torn in between meeting him or not, but after a few minutes, you agreed to meet him at the park.

When you had arrived to the park, you looked around for the male that requested to talk to you.

"[L/N]." a low voice called out to you. Turning around, you saw the black haired male in front of you.

"I'm here now. What do you want." you asked, your tone filled with slight anger and hostility.

"I'm sorry. For everything. I was such an asshole for leaving you. I-'

"Forget about it. That's in the past. Goodbye." you said as you turned to walk off when Nijimura made a statement that made you stop in your tracks.

"I still love you okay!" he called out to you.

"I'm sorry, Nijimura. I don't see you that way anymore. You broke my heart when you dumped me so I did everything I could do to forget about you. And I did. [B/N] helped me through all of that."

"[B/N]?" Nijimura asked, hoping that it wasn't your boyfriend.

"My fiancee." you said with a small sigh as you brought up your hand to show Nijimura the engagement ring with your birthstone on it.

"You're getting married?" he asked in a deeply hurt tone. You nodded.

"If you had wanted me back, you could've done it when I was still hoping you'd come back."

"I'm sorry okay. With the girl I left you for, she didn't have the things you did. she wasn't like you. She-'

"Then why'd you leave me? Why did you just leave an empty apartment and a letter for me? Why did you make me suffer?" You questioned. Nijimura wanted to beg you to come back, but he knew that the ring on your ring finger would prevent you from doing so. So Nijimura just looked down silently with a pained expression, teeth clenched together, and his eyelids blinking fast to keep him from crying.

"Nijimura, in your letter, you said that you've moved on. You said that I, too, should move on. And I did." you said one last time in a soft and gentle voice as you walked away from him.

In all of Nijimura's life, he's made some stupid decisions. Sure, he regretted some of them, and others he didn't care about. He knows that he's fcked up on many things and that he wished that he could redo everything.

But his ultimate mistake was leaving you, the person he truly loved. All because of his stupid decision, in a few months, you'll be walking down the isle, marrying a man that wasn't him.

This was something that he couldn't redo, no matter what he did.

Nijimura couldn't hold it anymore, as he broke out, his hot tears staining his face.
