Polaroid [Mitobe Rinnosuke x Reader]

You woke up to the sun's rays shining at your [E/C] orbs. Turning over, you expected to see your silent boyfriend right next to you, but only to be presented with an empty and cold space. You groaned tiredly and rose up from your bed, and checked your phone for notifications. Then you groggily walked outside and immediately smelled a mouth-watering scent that eventually led you to your kitchen. It was there you saw your tall boyfriend, cooking breakfast. He waved at you with a smile, and you returned it. You approached the counter connected to your kitchen and pulled out the wooden chair that was below it and sat on it, and waited for Mitobe to finish cooking.

Your eyes lit up when he placed a plate filled with delicious food ready to be devoured. You patiently waited for Mitobe to sit down with you so you can begin eating when he motioned through his actions that he was going to skip breakfast because he has something to attend to. Understanding that he needed to do something, you just nodded and began to eat while watching tv.

It was now about 12 PM in the afternoon when you heard the doorbell ring. Rising up from your comfortable position in the sofa, you headed over to the door and opened it, revealing the light blue haired phantom.

"Oh hey Kuroko! Do you need anything?" You asked him.

"Yes, please come with me today. You have to see something." He informed you with a straight face.

"May I ask what?"

"Mitobe-san is there as well. He's actually waiting for you." Kuroko changed the subject. You nodded slowly and then told Kuroko to come in and make himself comfortable while you headed to your bedroom to get changed.

Once you got changed, you and Kuroko headed out of the apartment.

You then found out that Kuroko led you to the park. Walking along the trail that weaves throughout the park, you obediently followed the phantom, until you lost him. Looking around, you couldn't see him (obviously). You tried to call out his name, but no one answered.

You didn't really know where to go so you just continued to walk. Then you found a Polaroid on the ground. Being the curious person you are, you picked it up and read the caption.

'Dear [F/N], this was the place where I met you. I didn't know that meeting you would change my life. Little did I know. - Mitobe '

You could deny that it was for you since the handwriting was all too familiar to you. Lifting your head, you found yourself in a shaded area with a big tree, the leaves falling down ever so gracefully. You smiled and kept on walking.

About 5 minutes later you found another well taken Polaroid on the ground, near the street ball court that you and the former Seirin basketball team would play at times back in high school. You picked up the Polaroid and read what was written on the bottom.

'This is where I realized that I have fallen in love with you. Thanks to Koganei, I was able to get close to you. And I'm still thankful till this day. - Mitobe'

A grin plastered onto your face as you glanced at the basketball court, joyful memories coming to you. You kept on walking.

Then, you found yourself in front of a white fountain. Looking down, you saw another Polaroid. You picked it up. Looking at the picture, you saw a the white fountain that you were currently in front of.

'This is where I asked you to be my girlfriend. My life changed that day, as I finally was able to call you my beautiful girlfriend. Please turn around. - Mitobe.'

You were slightly confused but you turned around anyways. When you did, you saw your handsome boyfriend in front of you, holding yet another professionally taken Polaroid.

'And this is where I'll ask you to be mine forever.'

'Wait what?' You thought as your heart rate began to speed up. You lowered the Polaroid from your face and saw that Mitobe was on one knee, holding a box with a shining ring on it. Behind him, were the former members of the Seirin basketball team.

Then ever so quietly, you saw him open his mouth and say,

"Will you marry me?"
