Soon PT.2 [Mayuzumi Chihiro x Reader]

A/N- as promised here is the continuation of "Soon"!

"When you said that you wouldn't say you 'wanted something', what did you mean?" He asked with a blank face.

"Well I wanted to say something. That's what I meant."

"What did you want to say?"

"You'll find out someday, Mayuzumi." You answered.

"When exactly, [L/N]."

"Soon." You said as you flashed him a mysterious smile.

Looking back to that, you have answered his question 6 months ago. Well, kinda. In that period of time, you two had gradually become closer. Though Mayuzumi is still blank and silent towards you, he talked more than he did when you both just started becoming friends. Inside, Mayuzumi knew that he could trust you. He didn't want to admit it, but it was true. For the first few months, he just thought of you as a someone. Mayuzumi didn't answer much whenever you talked to him, but you already knew that. 

However, by about the fifth month or so, he realized that he formed a unexplainable amount of affection towards you. Not the type of affection that was between two friends, but a lot more than that. Mayuzumi hesitated for some time, convincing himself that he didn't fall in love with you. He kept on telling himself that his mind was messing with him, that he was sick, or many more excuses that didn't hide anything. But whenever Mayuzumi saw you, his heart skipped a beat, though he would brush it off, stay silent, and act like that feelings of affection had nothing to do with him.

You on the other hand, had already fell for him. It was only six months and you always had these thoughts about him. Though it has been only a short period of time, you wanted to tell him how you felt. You were the type of person that couldn't keep their feelings in for a long period of time. 

One day, you said words to him that changed the relationship between you. (I'm sorry if that doesn't make sense)

You walked onto the roof where Mayuzumi was everyday, reading his light novel. That day, the aura was quiet and tense. You took a deep breath and walked over to him, sitting down next to him.

"Mayuzumi." you said quieter than usual.

"Yes?" he asked in a gentle tone, but not looking up from his novel.

"Remember about 6 months ago when you asked me that question before I left?" you asked him. He didn't even need to ask you what question, he remembered it very well.

"...the thing I wanted to say was..." you said, looking down, telling yourself that you had to do it, since you couldn't exactly back out. But you wanted to.

"Was..." he followed, taking a brief glance at you. Mayuzumi didn't have much experience with girls, but he wasn't stupid and had realized why you couldn't finish your sentence while your head was facing the ground.

"You like me, don't you." Mayuzumi finished for you. 

"...yeah..." you said in an almost inaudible voice. He kept the same blank expression, even though he was genuinely happy inside. 

"I'll underst-"

"I'll meet you on Saturday at 11:30." he cut you off with a gentle voice. You just stared at him.

"Are you asking me out?" 

"Yes." he said bringing up his novel closer to his face to cover it. 

"I'll meet you at Saturday then." you replied with a joyful smile. 

Behind that novel was Mayuzumi, who was smiling to himself. 

A/N- I'm so sorry if this pt. 2 was really bad ;-; I'm really bad at 'part 2's but I hope this was at least decent *nervously laughs*
