You tapped your foot impatiently on the tiles, waiting for the dismissal signal. There was a large lump in your throat and you slightly hyperventilated, your breathing uneven.
"Okay class, prepare to pack up. Tomorrow we will be..." The teacher droned on and on as you began to feel even more jittery than before. At this point you began to doubt yourself. You told yourself it wouldn't hurt to wait and that she'd reject you anyways. The bell that resonate through the school forced you to make a on-the-spot decision. You made your final verdict.
You took a deep breath to calm yourself down, then walked to Kuroko, who was packing her stuff away and getting ready to leave with her friend, Kagami.
"U-Um Kuroko-san?" You called out to her, your hands getting clammier and more restless.
"Yes?" She replied, looking up at you with her baby blue eyes.
"I was wondering i-if you were available this Saturday. Y'know, to hang out. Maybe a-at the theaters or the arcade or y'know, something like that," you added a small chuckle at the end. Your sadness was about to sink in until she smiled very slightly at you.
"I would love to," she agreed.
"Really? You want to go out with me on Saturday?" You asked for confirmation since you have never thought she would have accepted. She nodded.
"Thank you!" You bowed at her slightly.
"So, um, I'll pick you up at 11:30 AM tomorrow?"
"That would be great. Let's actually meet at the park," she proposed. You were more than happy to agree. You didn't care where you were with her. You were just glad that you'd spend the day together. After exchanging phone numbers, you left the classroom, eyes shining brightly, smile as wide as an innocent child, and an excitement that could rival a child's.

You don't know how many times you checked yourself in the mirror, making sure you were perfect for the date. Everything had to be in pristine condition. Your hair, outfit, and everything else.
After you had bid your parents goodbye, you bolted for the park that you both agreed to meet in.
When you arrived, you tried to spot your date amongst the trees and people, but it was proven difficult since she had a weak presence.
"Where could she be?" You asked yourself. You felt a tap on your shoulder, causing you to flinch and whip your body around to check who it came from. You yelled a bit when you came in contact with Kuroko.
"I'm right here,"
"I-I see that," you stuttered, never truly understanding why she was so invisible.
"Can I make a request [L/N]-san?" She asked, her eyes looking up at you rather hopefully.
"Of course,"
"Can we play basketball?" The request was rather surprising but you happily agreed anyways. It was kinda unusual for someone like her to be playing basketball, but hey, that was pretty cool nonetheless.
Once you both arrived at an empty court, she asked you one question.
"Do you know how to play basketball?"
"Me? Well, um, my cousins play so naturally they teach me as well," your face tingled and flushed when she smiled at you, which was quite refreshing from her normal emotionless expression.
"That's great. Shall we play?"
"Yup! Do you want me to go easy on you?" You asked since you didn't want to accidentally hurt her if it managed to happen.
"No. Please come at me with all you've got," she competitively proposed. You smirked a bit and nodded at her answer.
Once the game started, you tried to keep track of her, but quickly lost her. It has only been a few seconds and you already lost her? But from the corner of your eye, you saw her light blue hair, and the sound of the ball bouncing reached your ears. You raced back to her to stop her, but you saw that she was about to make a layup. Racing faster, you tried to reach out, but stopped when you saw the ball roll away from her possession before she was able to bring up the ball to make the layup.
"Huh?"
"Forgive me, I'm not really good," she apologized.
"No, it's alright," you smiled at her. You volunteered to help her out a bit, hoping she'd say yes. To your luck, she said yes.
After the long session, you both sat on the bench, catching your breath.
"So um, before I take you home, can I ask you a question?" She nodded.
"W-Will you be m-my girlfriend?" You stuttered out. After a minute of silence, rejection began to settle in.
"It's okay if-" you waved your hands in front of you in defense.
"Yes,"
"What?" Your eyes widened.
"I said yes, [L/N]-san," Kuroko repeated. You just stared at her, a large smile plastered on your face. You were unable to speak, and only let your facial expressions show how happy you were.
When you arrive at Kuroko's home, you waved goodbye to her. Before Kuroko went inside, she turned to you.
"Thank you for today. I'm not exactly noticeable so I've been unnoticed for 364 days of the year. I suppose that won't be a thing for long. So thank you," she smiled at you, then left.
That's when you realized,
You really were in love with her.
