One on One [Kagami Taiga x Reader]

You were (full name), a first year that went to Seirin High. You are also a regular of the girls basketball team. Your boyfriend was also a basketball player. His name was Kagami Taiga, the power forward ace of Seirin. You were a power forward, the same as Kagami. Even though your basketball skills weren't like his, you were still a remarkable player.
One day, you were walking out of basketball practice and heading into the dressing room, changing your into new clothes. It was also time for the boys basketball team's practice to be over since it's the same time. You and Kagami always walked home together. Since you were done changing first, you waited for kagami to exit the boy's changing room.
While you were waiting, you heard your phone ring signaling that you had a text message. When you opened it, you immediately had a smile on your face. It was a text from your childhood friend, (male friend) who went to a different school after you two graduated from middle school. The text said
"Hey (name)! I know you might be busy with basketball and such, but the good news is that I got a break from basketball since I don't have school this week! And I was wondering if we could have a one on one like good times (⌒▽⌒) "
You immediately started typing back a message saying
"Really? You're so lucky you get a break from school for a week T^T and yeah basketball has been fun so far but it's tiring lol and of course I'll play a one on one with you. It's been a long time after all... So anyways where are we gonna meet?"
You sent the message and waited. It didn't take long for a message to be sent back.
"Great! So remember that park with the basketball court near your house? Yeah, let's meet there alright? See you then!!"
You smiled to yourself. You were happy that you got to meet (male friend) again after a long time (A/N: it's not really that long lol but think that it is cx )
You put away your phone and saw Kiyoshi come out of the changing room.
"Oh hey (name). Are you still waiting for Kagami?" Kiyoshi asked.
"Actually can you please tell him that I'm meeting up with someone at the park and I'm gonna go ahead myself?" You asked politely.
"Sure thing (name)!" He said with that signature kind smile.
"Thank you!" You replied with a smile as well.

As you were walking out of school to meet tour friend at the park, Kiyoshi went back in the changing room to look for Kagami. He spotted Kagami about to leave.
"Hey Kagami (name) wanted me to tell you that she was gonna meet up with a friend at the park later and so she said that she'll walk by herself today."
"Eh? Really? Oh, well okay then. Thanks for telling me." Kagami said with a small smile.
"Your welcome" said Kiyoshi and with that Kagami left the changing room.
'Maybe I should go to her house first.' Kagami thought.

As you were getting close to the park, you already saw (male friend) waiting at the basketball court. You smiled and immediately fastened your pace to get there faster.
When you were getting close, you yelled out his name.
"Hey (male friend)!"
"(Name)!" You ran up to greet him.
"It's been so long huh?"
"It has indeed."
"So, we gonna play a one on one?"
"Absolutely!" He said with a big smile on his face.

As Kagami was walking to your house, he heard laughs coming from the park. He immediately knew it was yours. When Kagami took a closer look, he saw that you were playing basketball with someone else. A boy. Someone he didn't recognize. Kagami started to run towards the basketball court were you and the unfamiliar person were playing at. Kagami found a place where he could watch you from and stood there. Kagami saw you laughing, smiling and playing with the boy. Suddenly the boy fell on you, pinning you down by accident.
"Hahahaha! (Male friend) get off me!" Kagami heard you say in a playful voice.
"No (name)!~" he retorted back.
Before Kagami knew it, shock, anger, and jealously welled up inside him. He ran out to the basketball court.
"Hey! What are you doing to my girlfriend?! Get off of her!" Kagami yelled in irritation as he yanked off (male friend) from your body.
"Whoa wait! I-" (male friend) raised his voice but was cut off.
"Don't EVER touch my girlfriend like that! Who are you anyways? Why are you with my girlfriend? (Name) are you cheating on me?!" Kagami asked anxiously demanding answers.
"What? Kagami I'm not cheating on you! This is my childhood friend (male friend) and he's just visiting and he wanted to play a one on one!" You said in a calm but a little irritated voice.
Kagami's face softened and was replaced with a embarrassed blush.
"Childhood...friend?" He said in realization.
"Yes Kagami. Did you really think that I would cheat on you?"
"..."
There was a thick silence in the air. But it was cut when (male friend) spoke.
"Ah, so you're the guy that (name) always talks about." He said with a smile.
"(Name) talks about me?" Kagami said while a small blush was appearing on his face.
"Oh all the time. You're everything she's described. I'm glad that someone like you is dating (name). You chose the right one (name)~"
"Oh shut up..." You mumbled.
"Hehe, well anyways it looks like it's time for me to go, let's have a one on one again (name)!" He waved off.
"Of course! I'll see you next time!" You waved off with a smile. When he left your sight, you turned to a nervous and flustered Kagami.
"Kagami, did you think that I was really going to cheat on you with him? He's like an older brother I never had."
"I'm sorry... I was just worried you know. You looked so happy with him so I lost control of myself..."
"So you were jealous?~"
"NO. I-I WASNT!" He said turning his he's so you couldn't see the blush on his face.
"Mhmm, sure Kagami."

'He's so adorable when he's jealous...' You thought as you quietly giggled to yourself. You felt Kagami wrap his arms around your waist from behind.

"Just promise me you'll tell me what you're doing next time alright. I don't want something like this happening again." He said in a calm voice.

"Don't worry Kagami, I will.~" you smiled up at him and kissed him on the cheek.
