Get Well Soon [Nijimura Shuzo x Reader] SnK AU

A/N- Fun Fact : Attack on Titan was the first anime I ever watched lol. I still have a huge crush on Jean ad Eren ssshhhhhhh

Pls forgive me if I phrase or do things wrong, I haven't watched the anime in a long time and I haven't caught up with the manga either.

Note that you and Nijimura will be in your 20's during this time.

You bounced slightly on your horse as you followed behind Nijimura, who was leading your squad out, according to Commander Erwin's planned formation. Not even 20 minutes into the mission, is when you both spotted a pack of 6 titans heading your way. Eyeing Nijimura, you waited for his signal to attack.

Once your whole squad reached close enough, Nijimura barked orders, as everyone obeyed, taking down the assigned titans. You used your maneuver gear to boost up to the height of the giant, behind the neck. Bringing down your blades, you slashed at the titan, aiming for the nape, but you missed and slashed the cheek when the titan suddenly turned around.

You muttered a string of curses as you tried to regain your position, trying to move to the back of the neck before it catches up with you. But luck was not on your side today. The titan slammed their hand down at the wires of your 3DMG, completely bringing you down to the ground. You winced and let out a small scream as you heard and felt a bone in your body crack.

You tried to stand up and move before it squishes you, but you just fell back down, as you felt your right leg go limp, spikes pain shooting through. The titan brought down their hand as it picked you up with a painful grasp on your injured body. You tried reaching for the blade you hid in your boot for emergencies, but you couldn't since the titan had held down your arms as well.

'I can't die like this!' you thought as you thrashed around desperately as the giant was slowly bringing you in to their mouth. But before you could be thrown in, you heard the sound of flesh cutting, then the titan fell to the ground, bringing you along. You looked up and saw Nijimura, who was running towards you.

"Are you alright?" he asked worriedly, trying to make you stand up as fast as he can before more show up. You stood up, but you just winced and fell forward into the male's chest, shifting all your weight onto your left leg. Nijimura looked down at your bleeding and broken leg as he picked you up on his arms, placing you on his horse.

"Nijimura, I'm alright. Let me go back to my horse," you insisted.

"No, your leg is too broken for you to stand. Just hold on until we get back," he said, while getting someone to take care of your horse.

"I said I'm fine!" you argued back in an annoyed voice.

"You were almost chewed in half! You're not fine!" he snapped at you as you let out a small growl. You decided to stop arguing with him since you were both just wasting time.

Two Days Later

You opened your eyes wide as you looked around you and saw that you were in a room.

'Where am I?' you thought.

"It's about time you woke up," a familiar low voice called out to you. Glancing over at your side, you saw Nijimura sitting in a chair.

"How long was I out?" you asked.

"Two days. Do you have any idea how worried I was?" he scolded you.

"Why are you worried about me?" you said, glaring at him softly.

"You're the only person I care about that that's still alive," he answered you with a sigh at the end. You blushed a bit since you might have a small thing for him.

"You care about me?" you said in a I-don't-believe-you tone as he just looked away to avoid your gaze.

"Anyways," Nijimura changed the subject. "the doctor said your right leg is broken," he informed you as you let out a scoff.

"Really now," you responded as he continued.

"Yeah. But he said you can't go on missions or training for a couple weeks," he said as you let out a frustrated sigh.

"He also told me you need to take some medicine," Nijimura stated as he took out a bottle of medicine and a small cup.

"I have a broken bone, not a disease," you retorted.

"You will have one if you don't take the medicine," he argued back. He opened the bottle and pored some of it into a cup and gave it to you. You eyed the liquid with a disgusted expression. You glanced at Nijimura, the drank the liquid quickly. After a minute, you began to feel drowsy again so you sunk back into the bed, then you closed your eyes, instantly falling asleep.

Nijimura stood up and looked down at your sleeping face. He placed a hand on your head softly and placed a small kiss on your forehead.

"Get well soon cadet," he whispered quietly then left the room.
