A/N - Please note this will be a long fic!

"He has to know," Kuroko repeated for the fifth time.
"No he doesn't,"
"[F/N]-san, he needs to know what's wrong. You can't keep hiding it from him,"
"I don't want to hurt him,"
"It'll hurt him more if he finds out the last second. [F/N]-san, I cannot describe to you the pain I felt when I had lost Kagami-kun. He never told me for the same reasons. So I found him, his skin drained and his eyes cloudy and red...Don't let Akashi-kun go through this. He's had enough pain and loss already. The last thing he needs is losing you," you looked away guiltily from his baby blue gaze. You were just so confused. Kuroko decided to leave you alone with your thoughts.
"Either way, [F/N]-san, Akashi-kun needs to know," with that, he left and closed the door behind him.

48 Hours

You rose up from your bed, your body covered in a sleek sheet of cold sweat, and your breaths broken and panicked. Then the aftershock of migraines came in. You winced and brought up a hand to massage the sides of your head, but knowing it doesn't help the pain subside.
You whipped your head to the side, looking for your emperor natured lover. Nothing was there except a small note folded neatly in half. With only a small hint of hesitation, you picked up the letter.
'[F/N],
I have left to take a quick sweep of the abandoned warehouse near our location with Shintaro and Daiki. Tetsuya and Atsushi are undergoing a quick look around the area. We're still new here so we can't be too comfortable. If you need any help, Satsuki and Ryouta are at the base with you. I'll be back soon.
Love, Seijuro'
You fell back again into the cushion and emitted a relived sigh.
A million thoughts and snippets clouded your brain. The soft yellow rays shone through the rusty barred windows above your head. The room held no sound but your calming breaths, occasional sighs, and silence.
Silence.
It's been a long time since you've felt that. What's even more off is the fact that the never ending feeling of fear and anxiety never reached you.
Anxiety and fear was needed to survive.
But you didn't feel anything at all.

You heard the distant clunk of weapons and the high pitched clangs of knives and other metal weapons. The sound of boots grew louder with every second that passed. Looking outside, you saw Kise open up the gate for Akashi, Aomine, and Midorima, who were in a rush to get in. Usually Akashi would never come back with more than a bead of sweat even from the scorching sun and the constant and tiring fighting of the no longer humans.
But there he was, panting along with the other two, slathered in blood. Without a moment of hesitation, you darted down the from the second level to reach them, immediately asking them if they were okay.
"It's not our blood. The whole warehouse up ahead nearby is infested," Akashi informed.
"Too infested," Aomine adds, his breathing returning slowly to it's original pace.
"That would be an understatement," Midorima corrects, cleaning off the drops of blood from his glasses.
"Let's get you guys patched up first though. You have some cuts but it doesn't look serious," you said worriedly, and motioned for Momoi to ready the supplies as you helped the boys one by one.
