As Yu Xin followed Feng Li and his companions into the snake clan's territory, a mixture of emotions churned within him. His heart raced with nervousness and excitement, a whirlwind of feelings that accompanied him on this journey into the unknown. Leaving the rabbit clan was both a relief and a source of anxiety, for he was venturing into a world he had never experienced before.

With each step, his anticipation grew, and his mind buzzed with questions about Feng Li, the enigmatic figure who had become his husband. He knew so little about this person he had chosen to spend his life with, and the uncertainty of what lay ahead gnawed at him. Yet, beneath the trepidation, there was a glimmer of hope, a profound desire to prove himself worthy of Feng Li's trust and affection.

The snake clan's territory wasn't far from the rabbit clan, and soon, they crossed into its boundaries. As they entered, they were welcomed by a throng of sub-beasts and beasts, a sight that both overwhelmed and intrigued Yu Xin. Feng Li paused to introduce him to the clan members, taking the time to provide a brief overview of the clan's functioning and the responsibilities that awaited Yu Xin.

Listening intently, Yu Xin absorbed the information with determination shining in his eyes. He knew that he lacked the qualifications and experience to be with someone as remarkable as Feng Li. Still, he was resolved to change that. With grit and determination, he vowed to prove his worthiness and demonstrate his dedication to his new husband.

Feng Li couldn't help but chuckle as he noticed the resolute determination in Yu Xin's eyes. After explaining everything to him, Feng Li led Yu Xin to his cave, leaving him with a mix of nerves, excitement, and deep gratitude for the chance he had been given.

As Feng Li observed the determination and hope in Yu Xin's eyes, a warm smile played upon his lips. In that moment, he felt reassured that he had made the right decision in choosing Yu Xin as his spouse. He saw in Yu Xin the potential for growth, the capacity to adapt and thrive in this new world they were entering together.

More than that, Feng Li felt a deep sense of responsibility and affection toward Yu Xin. He knew that his role as a husband extended beyond mere companionship; he was determined to be a pillar of support for Yu Xin, ensuring his happiness, safety, and well-being. He had already made the silent promise to protect Yu Xin from any harm that might come their way.

Feng Li and his companions continued their journey back to their village, and Yu Xin walked in silence behind them. His mind was abuzz with uncertainty. He couldn't predict what lay ahead in the snake clan, how they would receive him, or what kind of person Feng Li truly was. Nevertheless, a deep determination burned within him. He was resolute in his quest to prove himself worthy of Feng Li's trust and affection.

Upon their arrival in the snake clan's territory, Yu Xin was struck by its breathtaking beauty. The landscape teemed with verdant vegetation and vibrant wildlife. He watched sub-beasts and beasts industriously tending to their duties, ferrying supplies such as food and water. He saw children at play and elders engaged in conversation, enveloped in an aura of serenity and happiness.

The snake clan, he realized, was a thriving and formidable community where harmony and contentment seemed to thrive. Yu Xin felt a profound sense of gratitude for being welcomed into such a wonderful place. As they neared the central village, Feng Li introduced Yu Xin to its inhabitants. Each person greeted him cordially and embraced him as part of their community.

Feng Li then guided Yu Xin on a tour of the village, culminating in the unveiling of his own cave. Yu Xin couldn't help but be impressed. Feng Li's cave was a marvel, surpassing the main cave of the rabbit clan in both size and comfort. The animal skins were luxuriously soft and warm, and the air carried a refreshing scent. It was evident that Feng Li took meticulous care of his belongings.

Overflowing with gratitude, Yu Xin thanked Feng Li for the tour and for allowing him to reside in his cave. In response, Feng Li simply smiled and offered these words: "This is your home now. You are welcome to stay here as long as you desire."

Yu Xin acknowledged Feng Li's presence with a nod as he continued to take in his new surroundings. The spaciousness of the cave was a stark contrast to his old home in the rabbit clan. Two soft animal skins graced the floor, and neatly arranged clay pots lined one of the walls. One pot was filled with clean water, while the other sat empty, awaiting its purpose. Yu Xin settled onto the soft animal skin, and a sigh escaped his lips.

While he felt gratitude towards Feng Li for his kindness and generosity, a persistent ache remained in his heart. He couldn't help but miss his parents and friends terribly. Their warm hugs, comforting presence, and familiar faces were memories that he would carry with him always. Yet, he understood that returning was not an option, and he firmly believed that this new path was the right one for him. He believed that he could find happiness here that transcended any he'd known before.

Yu Xin gently wiped away the tears that had welled in his eyes and drew a deep breath. In that moment, Feng Li entered the cave, surprised to find Yu Xin sitting silently on the animal skin. He had expected Yu Xin to explore his new home, but instead, the sub-beast was lost in thought.

Feng Li settled beside Yu Xin.

"Is everything okay?", he asked softly.

Yu Xin turned his head to look at Feng Li.

"I'm fine. Thank you for asking," he answered politely.

Feng Li stared at him. Yu Xin could feel his gaze burning into his skin.

Yu Xin blushed slightly and looked away.

"You can ask me anything," Feng Li said gently. "I'll try my best to answer."

Yu Xin nodded. He hesitated for a moment before asking, "How come you don't have a sub-beast spouse? Are you not interested in marriage?"

Feng Li laughed softly.

"I was not before but I am interested right now," he replied. "And he is sitting next to me right now."

Yu Xin blinked, taken aback by the sudden confession.

Feng Li looked at Yu Xin and smiled.

"You're my baby," he said quietly.

Yu Xin blushed furiously.

"I don't understand," he stammered. "We just met today. How can I be your baby?"

Feng Li leaned closer and whispered into his ear, "You were my baby in our last life. And you will always be my baby."

Yu Xin felt shivers running down his spine. He had a vague feeling that he knew this person. But, he couldn't remember anything.

Feng Li pulled back slightly and stared into his eyes.

"Do you want me to prove it to you?", he asked teasingly.

Yu Xin's face burned with embarrassment.

"Please," he whispered.

Feng Li smiled and placed a gentle kiss on his lips.

Yu Xin's eyes widened in shock.

Feng Li pulled away and chuckled.

"Was that convincing enough?", he asked playfully.

Yu Xin nodded dumbly.

He had a vague feeling that he had been kissed by this person before.

But, he couldn't remember anything.
