The cheers and roars of the crowd was overwhelming as I sat, sandwiched between Daphne and Tracey, in the Slytherin section with our friends around us. Every single students and teacher were talking in either hush tones or yelling at one another waiting for the first task. Even though Cedric did hurt me I am going to cheer him on as we were friends before we were ever together.

"Go on, Cedric!" I yelled loudly at the Hufflepuff champion stepped into the arena. He laid eyes on the dragon and he gulped. He is nervous

Cedric walked forward with the caution, wand at the ready. The dragon spat fire at him and he dodge it behind a rock breathing heavily.

"Transfiguro!" he called out

A nearby rock quivered before our eyes, its was blurring and reshaping until, where stone once lay, now a small dog stood, yapping energetically.

"Brilliant," Daphne breathed, leaning forward in awe

The Short-Snout's head snapped toward the creature, curiosity piqued. With a snarl, it lunged, allowing Cedric a window. He darted forth, his eyes locked on the golden egg in bed of jagged rocks

"Come on!" My own hands clenched into fists, willing him closer to success.

Cedric was halfway there when the dragon's instincts overcame its distraction. Its nostrils flared, recognizing the diversion for what it was. Its gaze snapped back to Cedric.

"Look out!" Tracey's shout was lost in the sudden surge of gasps from the crowd.

The beast exhaled a torrent of flame, a scorching blue inferno that raced towards Cedric. He dove, rolling to avoid the worst of it. The dragonfire touched Cedrics cheek leaving behind a trail of scorched skin that glowed angry and red.

The girls and I held each other hands leaning forward.

"Thats gonna leave a nasty scar," said Lorenzo painfully as Jordan buried her head in his shoulder

But Cedric was in pain but he scrambled to his feet. With a final sprint, he clutched the egg to his chest, triumphant even as the roar of the crowd drowned out the frustrated shrieks of the dragon.

"HE DID IT!" We started to clap and cheer for him.

We waited for a little while as the dragon keepers switched out the dragons for the next person; Fluer Delacour. When I met Fluer by running into her; we have met in the transfiguration yard and got to know each other. Though others around the think she is very stuck up she is actually very kind and sweet she just comes off as rude and entitled.

"May I present Fluer Delacour the beauxbaton champion,"

There was a round of applause from beauxbaton and myself.

Fleur Delacour stepped into the arena. The Common Welsh dragon growled at her as she stepped closer to the dragon behind a rock. Her blonde hair blowing behind her as the wind came.

"She is hot," said Mattheo before Daphne slapped his shoulder.

"Somnus," she waved her wand at the dragon who yawned tiredly before walking from the egg and laying down blinking its eyes at her. She elegantly made her way to the dragon not loosing step.

"Look at her," Pansy whispered"She's not even flinching."

"I wish I had that confidence," I whispered back and she nodded in awe

Fleur movements were a fluid grace, her wand outstretched, the tip glowing softly. Her eyes were locked on the dragon, and she began to chant in a melodic rhythm that seemed to flow over the creature like a lullaby.
