Hours later, I wake up. The sun is shining in through the windows, so at least I slept through the night. I reach over to feel for Bawdy, but he's not in the bed. My bathroom door is open, and he's not in there.

I don't think he would have left without saying anything.

I pick up my phone that he must have plugged in for me on my nightstand. Shit, it's noon. Looks like I'm not making it to my classes today.

Flinging the blankets off my body, I hastily get out of bed. My bedroom door opens, and I scream.

"Woah, woah, it's just me," Bawdy says while carrying in some bags.

"Sorry, I'm still a bit jumpy from last night. I thought you left." I nervously comb through my knotted hair with my fingers. I probably look horrible.

"You should know that I'd never leave you. I just thought you'd be hungry. I took a look in your kitchen. Is there a reason it's basically empty?"

"That requires time and money that I really don't have, so..." I trail off as I inhale the food that he brought.

"Sounds like I'll need to just eat with you more often."

We eat the brunch that he bought, and I pull out my laptop to see what I've missed today in my classes. "Fuck," I say while looking at my upcoming assignments. "I almost forgot that I need to take these arial photos for a class. You don't know how to work a drone do you?"

"Can't say I've ever tried. Does it have to be done with a drone?" He stretches back on the couch, putting his arm around me. He must have had someone drop off clothes for him with the food, because he is now wearing black joggers and a gray t-shirt that fits perfectly.

"Yeah, unless I'm taking them while skydiving." I joke. "I wanted to do them over the beach, but I don't know if I'll have time, and I have to get there."

I don't want to ask for his help, and I don't expect him to offer it. He's already done more than enough being here for me. And I had been shitty not responding to him before. As much as the encounter freaked me out, I really need to pull it together and get this assignment done.

"Then let's go to the beach," he says nonchalantly.

"You don't have things you need to do today?"

"I'd much rather spend the day with you."

I don't deserve someone like him.

"Really?"

"Yes, of course. I'd never lie to you."

I get ready, and we head out with enough time to get to the beach before sunset.

Bawdy's driver slows down and comes to a stop. "Are you stopping somewhere first?" I ask while looking out the window.

"Just follow me." Bawdy says with a large grin on his face. His driver opens the door, and Bawdy pulls on my arm. I follow behind him as he carries my camera supplies.

We walk through the building and a man ushers us towards a large door that opens to the outside. My mouth drops as we walk outside. We're at an airport hanger.

Bawdy starts chatting with the man and basically has to drag me when I get too distracted by the small planes and helicopters around me. I've never been this close to any of these things while standing on the ground.

"And here we are," says the man as he goes to open the door of a helicopter. A helicopter.

"You did say the pictures just needed to be taken from an arial view. Thought this would be more fun than reading a drone manual," Bawdy says.

There's no way this is real.

"Are you serious?" I ask in disbelief.

"Yes," he laughs. "Now, come on. You really need to stop questioning me." He guides me up into the helicopter, making sure I don't trip getting up. "Have you ever been in one before?"

Sometimes I think he does forget that not everyone is rich like him. "No, it's not every day, or any day, that someone offers to take me in their helicopter." This is insane.

The man, who is the pilot, steps inside and starts to help us buckle in and put on headphones.

We take off, and Bawdy holds onto my hand as I stare out the window, taking in every second of this experience.
