Two days later, Maddie was walking with the Danvers sisters in the streets of National City.

She was hired at CatCo as a paid intern, after J'onn agreed to let her out of the D.E.O. since she was not a threat. Her job was to do the assignments she was given: answering the phone, doing researches, delivering documents throughout the different levels of the building, ect...

The D.E.O. had recreated Maddie's documents and papers, but Mission Creek did not exist in this universe, so they made her come from Los Angeles.

- "So, where'd you put them?" Alex asked her sister, who had saved a family from a fire.

- "By a very nice lake with no fire." Kara replied.

- "All right, well, what happened to your post-rescue swagger? Is Winn still not talking to you?" The older Danvers questioned.

- "He only talked to me when I presented him to Maddie." The younger Danvers sighed.

- "I'm sorry, Kara." The Matthews girl said.

- "I wish he'd never kissed me. I wish I had never hurt his feelings." The Kryptonian explained. "I miss my best friend."

- "Just give him space. And time." The agent replied.

- "She's right. It's the only thing to do." The quadbrid nodded.

- "I hate space and time." Kara said, making the two others chuckle.

Later, the trio entered a café.

- "Welcome, Maddie, to THE best café in the world." Kara said.

- "Nice." Maddie nodded.

- "We need to get you several coffees, so you can give them to the other interns to make new friends." The younger Danvers walked up to the counter. "Hi. I'd like 6 coffees, please. And is Ms. Grant's latte ready?" She asked.

- "I'm sorry." A 6' white man with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes said.

He's Ms. Grant's son, Adam Foster. Shit. The Matthews girl thought as she read his mind.

- "Excuse me?" The Kryptonian frowned.

- "I said, I'm sorry." Adam continued. "That you have to work for Cat Grant. I hear she's a piece of work."

- "A reputation she proudly fosters." Kara replied.

- "Is she really as horrible as everyone says?" The Foster man asked. "You know, breathes fire. Eats babies."

- "Ms. Grant is tough, but she's amazing. Not only at her job, but as a person. She's pretty badass." The younger Danvers explained.
