Two days later, the trio was in the D.E.O.

Supergirl was training Mon-El as Maddie watched in the stairs.

- "You ready?" The Danvers woman asked.

- "Born ready." The Matthews man replied.

- "I'm ready to see this." The Matthews girl smiled.

The two adults started to run towards the flying orb, which was shooting lasers.

They jumped over two cylinders blocks and protected two cardboard people.

The Kryptonian used her heat vision to destroy the orb.

- "Impressive." The Daxamite said.

Supergirl shrugged.

- "Nice, guys." The quadbrid added.

Two new cardboards appeared, including one of J'onn.

- "Wow, you really nailed Hank's disapproving non-smile." Mon-El said, making the women snicker.

A new orb appeared and the Matthews man ran towards it as he jumped and punch it with his super strength, making it crash against a wall.

- "Ouch." Maddie frowned.

- "End simulation." The Danvers woman said.

- "Nailed it." The Daxamite jumped over the cylinder and slipped. "Oh!"

The Matthews girl chuckled.

- "Hey, careful." The Kryptonian added.

- "I'm okay." Mon-El got up.

- "Uh, Mon-El?" The quadbrid walked up to them.

- "Yeah?" The Matthews man replied.

- "You forgot to protect someone." Maddie pointed behind him to the headless little girl cardboard.

- "Mistakes were made." The Daxamite, awkwardly, said. "But it's our fewest cardboard fatalities yet."

- "Good job, bro." The Matthews girl smiled.

- "I think he's ready." Supergirl looked at the youngest. "What do you think?"

- "He's ready." The quadbrid nodded.

- "Yes. I mean, you're dedicated." The Danvers woman said. "You punch really hard."

- "Not as hard as you. Yet." Mon-El looked at them, smirking.

- "Ever." The women frowned.

- "Okay." The Matthews man frowned, amused.

- "But when you deflected that laser, you hit this girl." The Kryptonian pointed at the cardboard.

- "Oh, the headless one, yeah." The Daxamite nodded.

- "So, what is our number-one rule as heroes?" Supergirl asked.

- "Protect the people." Mon-El replied.

- "Yes. Are we clear on the whole protect-citizens-above-all else thing?" The Danvers woman questioned.

- "Yes. Clear. Super clear. Supergirl clear." The Matthews man laughed, making the women frown. "I'm just kidding. No, seriously, we're clear."

- "That was such a bad joke." Maddie said. "I'm ashamed of you right now."

- "Oh, shut it." The Daxamite rolled his eyes. "Let's do it again."

- "Uh... Well, I think you might need to change." The Kryptonian pointed at the hole of the sleeve of his Henley.
