RUSSELL THORPE HAD KIDNAPPED CASSIE AND TAKEN HER TO THE EMPIRE BUILDING.
the blonde had been sitting on a chair for the past half an hour with no escape. luckily she thought quick and remembered her phone in her dress pocket, she took it out and pressed nate's number since it was the first one.
nate, chuck, raina and blair were at the empire looking for cassie when nate got a call. before nate could speak he heard a loud bang then cassie's voice. "why are you doing this, let me out! you brought me to the empire and kept me here, i might aswell jump off the third story window!" she hinted and nate looked at the group, all of them fearful for the blonde's safety. they immediately ran to the hotel as fast as they could
cassie sat on the cold ground as she watched russell fiddle with a lighter. "why do you keep doing that?" she stammered, "you'll see soon" he told the girl, and she took a breath to calm herself. "why me?" she stood up. "why not you? your like a sister to chuck bass, blair waldorf's best friend who chuck bass loves, and the love of nate archibald's life" he smirked.
cassie had started to smell gas and instantly worried for herself and her baby, "please don't kill me, i'm too young, i haven't even lived" she pleaded. right after she heard the door bust open and saw nate rush up to her.
"oh my god, are you okay?" he held her tightly while the others spoke. "dad, i forgive you for the fire! i know it was an accident, but please don't set this building on fire, give me the lighter" raina begged as nate slowly started to lead cassie to the exit.
"okay guys lets go!" raina escorted the group as they ran but cassie felt very lightheaded. blair stopped to check if everyone's alright when she spotted something. "cass, there's blood all over your shoes and on your legs" blair said softly, "cassidy, are you okay?" raina asked and cassie could feel herself about to lose consciousness.
the blonde had suddenly felt herself fall back but luckily nate caught her. "oh god alright, 911 is outside lets go guys" he told the group as they all hurried downstairs.
the next time cassidy woke up, she was in a hospital room with monitors connected to her and nate was waiting for her. "hey, your awake. how are you?" he touched her hand, "um what happened?" cassie asked, looking around. "russell-" he started, "i know what happened there, but what happened after i fainted" cassie asked, focusing eye contact and nate was trying to say it. "i can handle it nate" cassie stated.
"they took you into surgery and it all went well, but i need to-" he started, "my baby's dead, right?" she bit her inner lip and nate let out a breath. "i am so sorry cassie, is there anything i can do?" nate asked and cassie looked up. "can you pass me my phone? i need to tell james" cassie asked taking her phone from nate's hands.
she shakenly put the ringing phone to her ear. she had to call james a few times but he finally answered. "hi cassie, can i call you later? i'm quite busy right now" he asked but she stuttered "no". "james, can you go somewhere quiet for a minute, i need to tell you something" she stammered hearing the loud voices. "whats up?" he asked.
"i lost the baby" she mumbled but james couldn't hear, "cassidy, please hurry up, i'm very busy" he said, "i said, i lost the baby. can you please come home?" she begged. "oh god, i am so sorry, but i can't come home not for a while at least" he said.
"why not?" cassie pleaded. "i'm busy love, but why don't you come to la?" he asked. "i don't really feel like travelling right now" cassie blurted, "don't be selfish love, either you come to me or we don't see eachother" he said before hanging up.
right after she finished the call nate had knocked on the door and cassie nodded so he can come in. "hey" she mumbled, "hi, you alright?" he asked and she shook her head. "james isn't coming back" she pushed her hair back. "for good?" nate asked, smiling a tiny bit but cassie shook her head.
"you wanna watch a movie?" he pulled up a chair next to her hospital bed, "depends" cassie frowned a bit, "10 things i hate about you?" he smiled and she laughed and nodded.
