gossip girl season three episode nine - they shoot humphrey's don't they?

EVEN THOUGH OUR BELOVED CASSIE IS FILTHY RICH. SHE DOESN'T GO TO COLLEGE AND SHE WON'T HAVE MONEY FOREVER.

"i have experience in leadership, event planning and press release, due to all of my years as head of student council, and valedictorian" cassie stated. "okay" tripp glanced.

"okay as in what? as in i got the job?" cassie questioned, and tripp nodded. "just like that?"

"you make a good case, also i remember our summer relay races at nate's hamptons house, underneath your smile, you've got the heart of a killer" he smiled. "me? do i need to remind you of the potato sack incident of '98? very unsportsmanlike behaviour from a congressman" cassie grinned.

"i think i'm going to enjoy working with you cass" he smiled. "i should go, i'm a mentor for cotillion, bye! see you monday" she jumped.

cassie headed inside the vanderwoodsen house, only to see blair and serena arguing, again.

blair took a glance at cassie, "cassidy" she glared, "blair"

"hey cass, there's the list of debs, check which one lily assigned you too " serena told the girl.

"why bother the one she wants, isn't" blair paused "available" she smirked, and cassie could feel herself tensing up.

"blair!" serena scolded, "i have better things to do, since i'm working for congressman tripp vanderbilt" cassie turned to leave, "don't eat to much cake b, thanksgiving two years ago, we don't need to have a repeat" cassie smirked.

the girl bought some take out and headed to tripp's office "hey, i got you some food" she sat down next to him. "thank you cassie" he thanked. "whatcha working on?" she asked. "just a speech on school lunches" he top the girl.

"actually mind passing me that pen over there?" tripp asked. she reached over to get it but her face got very close to his. "sorry sorry" he backed away.

"y-you should go" he told the girl, "are you sure you don't need any help?" cassie asked. "yeah, you can start monday, you'll meet brian"

cassie quickly rushed out of the office and headed home to avoid the embarrassment.

the next evening, cassie was lounging at home, when her phone rang. "hello?" she answered, "hey cassie, you free?" jenny asked. "yeah what's up?"

"this may sound childish but can you come help me get ready for cotillion" jenny asked with a small laugh, "it's not don't worry, i'll be there as soon i can" cassie got up from the couch.

"jenny?" she knocked on the door to see a tearful jenny. "hey are you okay?" she asked. " yea i'm fine, it just feels weird to do it without sydney" she wiped her tears.

"i know, it feels weird not being my sister's mentor" cassie wrapped her arm around the girls shoulder.

"okay stop the tears, we need to get you ready" cassie fixed the girls hair.

cassie did jenny's makeup and hair but was interrupted by a text, "who's it from?" jenny asked, "blair, she wants to apologize" cassie laughed.

"go i can finish up from here" jenny shooed her. "are you sure?" cassie asked, "yes thank for your help" jenny gave a soft smile.

cassie made her way to the elevator, where she was supposed to meet blair, and saw serena. "serena?" cassie questioned, "cassie hey! i'm meeting blair"

"oh i'm meeting her too" cassie raised a brow. the elevator doors opened and there was blair and aubrey. "what are you guys doing here?" she gagged.

"you texted to meet you and you left me waiting 30 minutes?" serena raised her voice. "i didn't text you, i lost my phone" the waldorf girl said. "either get in or don't, i'm going down" aubrey groaned.

"not with out me" cassie hopped in, and serena followed.

the four girls stood in the elevator in silence with it suddenly broke down. "oh this can't be happening" cassie banged on the door"

"no one's leaving until you girls solve your issues" chuck said. "chuck?!" cassie and serena yelled. "bass this is a punishable offence, and not the good kind!" blair yelled.

the elevator stopped and so did chucks voice. blair turned to cassie and serena, "so what did my text say?" she mumbled.

"that you missed us and wanted to make up" cassie pressed her lips together. "y'know what, i love you all, and i want to talk things out, so ill go first, cassie, why are you so mad at me?" aubrey asked.

"i don't know, i mean i really needed you these past few months and you weren't there and i had almost lost my life and you didn't even call" cassie started to tear up, "i'm sorry i know i should have been there and called, but i was too ashamed of myself, i mean i had just screwed up mine, ryan and everyone's lives, i felt like too much of a failure" aubrey sat down next to the girl. "aubrey you are not a failure, sure you made a mistake, but your doing your best to fix it" blair empathized.

"and cassie, i shouldn't have been so mean to you and brought up your sister, i was mad at serena and took my anger out on you" blair said.

"and blair i was so annoying to you, and it's because, i found my dad this summer and he didn't wanna see me, so i guess i went crazy" serena said.

"why didn't you say anything while this was happening?" blair asked in concern. "all your dads love you guys, but mine doesn't wanna see me" serena teared up.

"not knowing you is your father's loss, he truly missed out on such a wonderful girl" cassie touched serena's knee.

"god i hope aub's new baby doesn't end up like us" serena sniffled. "she better not" blair laughed.

"it's a boy" aubrey looked up at the girls. "what?" cassie turned to her best friend, "i'm having a boy" aubrey cried tears of joy.

"okay group hug" serena sniffed, "s, only public school kids do that" cassie said in between tears.

"oh yeah did i tell you guys, i'm working for tripp vanderbilt?" cassie asked her friends. "as in?!" blair scolded. "i'm his media sales representative" cassie said proudly, and blair glared, "and i may have a tiny crush on him" cassie hid her face.

"oh my goodness cassidy what am i going to do with you?" blair groaned.
