WINTER BREAK has finally ended and our favorite upper east side teens have to return back to their daily lives. lets see what they were up too, shall we? serena vanderwoodsen spent her new years eve in bueno aires. nate finally introduced cassie to his parents. our beloved blair waldorf has confessed her love to chuck but he didn't say the 8 letter sentence back and ended up running away.

america's favorite couple, aubrey and ryan have recently been getting distant, could it be because of aubrey's parents new divorce?

cassie, ryan and sydney were packing up their bags to head to school. "hey ryan honey, how's aubrey? i heard about her parents nasty divorce" monica asked as she struggled to walk.

"shes fine i guess" ryan muttered. cassie looked over at her younger sister who was quickly shoving everything into her bag. "someone's in a rush" cassie laughed at her sister. the younger blonde looked back at her siblings, "jenny's finally coming back to school today, so come on lets go!" sydney dragged her siblings out the door.

"cassidy, i need someone to take me to my doctors appointment after school, be home as quick as you can." monica said, "what why can't ryan do it?" cassie asked with a bunch of attitude. "because ryan's busy with law!" monica smiled.

ever since ryan had decided he wanted to go into law practice, his mother has been caring for him extra hard.

"since hes actually trying to have a future" monica rolled her eyes. she is still pissed at cassie for not going into law aswell to take over the company because it was "too much" for ryan, and she blames cassie for forcing him to make the decision of going into law school.

"its fine mom, i'll come along with you guys" he smiled at his sister. "okay sweetie, have a good day!"

the three siblings got into their driver's car and headed to school. when they got to school, sydney ran over to jenny and eric, and cassie and ryan both saw aubrey walking into school alone, ryan walked over to chuck and nate because aubrey was avoiding him at home. but cassie couldn't give up on her so she walked over to the girl.

"hey aubs!" cassie walked over to the non cheerful girl who gave her a soft smile and no hello back. "you didn't respond to my calls all break, how was your break?" cassie asked in a polite tone. aubrey gave her a small 'mhm' without even looking at her.

cassie knew how hard this was for her. throughout aubrey's whole life, her parents were the happiest and best people she knew. cassie knew too, aubrey's parents considered her a daughter. but everything changed when her dad left them no absolutely no reason, and fled to pennsylvania.

she decided to give her best friend some space and walked inside the constance building.

"cassie!" blair and serena came to hug their friend. "hi! how are you guys?" cassie asked holding their hands. "amazing, i have a suprise by the way!" serena smiled, "horrible" blair frowned.

"aw what happened to our little princess now?" cassie joked. "not funny cassie, but anyway i told chuck i loved him!" blair yelled. "thats amazing b" cassie cheered. "but he didn't say it back!" blair screamed. "aw b i'm sorry" serena comforted.

right after dan humphrey came and pulled serena into a kiss. cassie and blair looked at eachother in horror then back at serena. "oh yeah this is my suprise!" serena laughed.

"dan may i ask how you bagged THE serena vanderwoodsen 3 times?" cassie asked, serena and dan laughed and looked at eachother. "come on c were leaving" blair pulled the girl.

after school cassie and ryan were on their way to a doctors appointment with their mom. monica kept trying to make conversation in the car but cassie and ryan just ignored her.

"wait here" monica pointed to two chairs for her kids to sit down.

the two teenagers sat down and stayed silent for a few minutes until ryan spoke. "i saw you and aubrey talking today" "more like me talking to her, she didn't say a word" cassie told her brother. "yeah, she stays at the library finishing up her homework, and then she comes home and stays in the guest bedroom, no word to me either" he added.

"i'm really worried about her" cassie said with concern. "i know me too" ryan looked down. "but we can't do anything about it other than just giving her space."

the two went silent again. "how are you and nate?" ryan asked. "were doing really good" cassie smiled, she truly was happy with him and ryan could tell. "i'm really happy for you cass, nates a really good guy" ryan said. "thank you ry" cassie smiled.

"you know i still can't believe mom's pregnant" ryan brought up. "yeah me too, she was such an absent parent to us growing up, i can't imagine what the hell shes gonna do to this baby" cassie said. "do you ever wonder who the father is?" ryan asked his sister. "all the time" cassie pressed her lips together.

"i want to talk mom into giving the baby up for adoption" cassie blurted. "i was actually meaning to talk to you about that, i was gonna say the same thing" ryan laughed. "great we can sit her down then talk about it" cassie nodded.

the two heard a loud scream coming from their moms room. "oh god" ryan said getting up. "mom probably tried to make a move on the docter" cassie said.

the twins entered their mother's room in worry and confusion. "mom what happened?!" ryan asked. "its a boy!" monica smiled. "i'm gonna name it ryan!"
