CASSIE AND HER EXPERIENCES WITH HOSPITALS WAS A CONFUSING ONE. she was never fond of them. from when she was a child and her brother was a wild child and lily or anne archibald would be taking him to the hospital half the time to cassie getting hit by a car, and now to her sisters sudden unconscious.

she sat down on the floor outside sydney's hospital room, with her knees to her chest, and head buried in her knees. her father and charlie rushed to the hospital as soon as cassie called them.

"cassie, what the hell happened?" her dad rushed to her side. "i-i don't know! i came in to pick up some stuff and i saw her on the ground, doctors think she might have drank something and overdosed by accident." she said inbetween chokes.

"i'm gonna go talk to the doctors" charlie said in shock.

jenny and eric walked into the hospital trying to find cassie. "cassie?!" jenny called out and cassie jumped up to hug her. she sobbed into the girls shirt.

soon charlotte moore came out from the the hospital room in tears, "love, what happened?" andrew hugged his fiancée. "she's dead, overdose" she sobbed.

"no" jenny cried hugging cassie.

"cassie!" nate ran up to his girlfriend, with blair, serena, chuck and ryan following. "she's gone nate" cassie sobbed. "oh god, dad!" ryan ran to andrew.

"oh baby i'm so sorry" nate rubbed the girls back as she sobbed.

after a few hours and everyone said their goodbyes to sydney. nate had approached cassie.

"hey" she said softly, "hi" he sat down next to the girl. "can we talk?" she asked avoiding eye contact. "yeah of course" he said.

"nate, i love you so much, and this past year has been amazing but i don't think we can be together anymore" she looked at him. "cassie why?" he asked, "i can't do this anymore, i'm sorry" she looked at him.

"please don't make this any harder, it's what i need and it's gonna be better for both of us in the future" cassie got up.

nate was so on track to not let her break up with him but deep down he knew it was what the girl needed.

THE FUNERAL ITSELF WAS 3 WEEKS LATER. since sydney's death, cassie had been staying in her mother's house since she wanted to be alone. she had started drinking and smoked more often.

nate had came to check on her once but she told him she needed space. serena was on a trip but she called cassie everyday. blair had came a few times and so did ryan but the two stayed silent since he didn't know what to say.

cassie was much more affected by syd's death than ryan was since they were much closer than sydney and ryan.

chuck was the only one who had empathized with cassie since he knew exactly how she felt. he brought her food and did his best to make sure she ate.

the blonde had locked herself in her room the day of the funeral. she sat on the cold hard floor.

a knock was heard at the door. "cassie, you ready to go?" her father

spoke. "i'll meet you there dad" cassie said. "alright honey, we're gonna be sitting at the front" he said leaving.

cassie took a breath of her cigarette, and sat down.

she couldn't find the energy to get up.

                                                     11:43.

you coming? dads getting worried, moms not coming BTW

she heard her door open. "how did you get in?" she grumbled. "none of your business, now hurry up blair is worried about you" chuck told the girl. "i'll drive you, since you can't drive for shit"

"yes i can" she blew out her cigarette and put on her shoes.

the two arrived at the funeral, and

blair and serena, who came back for today, came to hug her. "cassie, hi love!" serena hugged her.

nate also came to give her a friendly hug. "hey, how you doing?" he hugged the girl, "fine, thank you for asking and coming, how are you?" she asked softly. "good good"

chuck walked the girl into the funeral. "we're all proud of you for coming cassie" he smiled at the girl. "thank you for being there for me chuck, I really needed this." cassie smiled.
