CASSIE AND JOSIE WERE FINALLY ON THEIR LAST SONG OF THEIR FIRST ALBUM.
"we're almost done, we're almost done" josie sung, and cassie stayed quiet. "why aren't you happy about this, we should be celebrating, one more song!" josie sat next to the girl.
"nate and i are hanging out for the first time since our fight" cassie pressed over her lips together. "is madelyn gonna be there?" joesphine asked, "she better not be" cassie laughed.
"cassie, i really think you need to have a serious conversation with nate about your relationship" josie said, "yeah me too" cassie looked over at the girl.
after meeting with josie, cassie got ready for her date with nate.
she still had been thinking about sydney's letter and wanted to get more info but had to put it on hold for a day, since she needed to work on her relationship with nate.
she put on her nicest outfit and did her hair. her phone had started to ring so she picked it up, "hello?" she spoke, "hey cass, you ready?" he asked, "yes I am" she replied. "great, meet me at the empire? chuck gave us our own suite for the day" he said, "tell bass i said thank you" she laughed softly before ending the call.
she took a deep breath before knocking on the suite door. "hey" nate opened the door. "hi" she said softly. "um, how are you?" he asked. "good, good, what about you?"
"good, can i get you anything?" he walked over to the kitchen. "maybe just a water" cassie replied.
"hows columbia?" she asked. "amazing, how's the album coming?" "good" she said. the two sat in silence for a while, since usually their conversations came naturally and weren't forced.
"nate"
"cassie"
the two started, "sorry, you go first" they said, and nate nodded for cassie to speak.
"even though we talked at the wedding it still feels like we have unsolved issues" cassie said, "yeah i agree" nate said.
"are you jealous of madelyn, of our friendship?" he asked. "nate how could you think that?" cassie furrowed her brows. "i don't, i don't, i'm just trying to figure out what's wrong" he stopped her from leaving.
"i'm not jealous, i just feel like i'm losing you too her" cassie crossed her arms, "every time i call to make plans you either say you aren't free or bail last minute to help her, and your with her more than your with me nowadays"
"madelyn's one of my closest and only friends at columbia, most of projects and stuff are always with her and y'know school takes up time and we just got close and she understands my family issues and hers are similar. shes been through similar stuff as me and she knows exactly what i went through" nate told the girl.
