IT HAD BEEN ALMOST TWO MONTHS AFTER THE CAR ACCIDENT. cassie is currently almost four months pregnant and everything seems to be going okay so far, but blair ended up losing her own baby and has cut herself off from the world.
the waldorf has mainly spent her time planning her own wedding and has taken charge of planning cassie's aswell.
"cassie! pay attention! this is serious! what color scheme? nudes or lighter colors?" blair told the girl who was so tired. "cassie! this is your wedding we're planning" blair snapped. "whatever works for the venue" cassie groaned.
"oh my goodness, its a summer wedding so i think lighter colors work best" blair said as the blonde got up to take her meds. "blair, you got my venue, caterers, photographers and you planned my engagement party. why don't we get to your dress fitting your going to be late?" cassie asked, and blair shook her head. "its fine i'll go alone you should get ready for the new years party tonight and get some rest" blair said, heading out.
that night cassie entered the spectator party trying to find nate but heard something else instead.
"frankly, an affair with humphrey is the one thing that explains why she's not confiding in you and why she's stopped speaking to me" chuck said to louis and serena as cassie walked by. "what?" cassie looked over at the three.
"i'll show you the pictures" chuck gave cassie his phone and she looked through all the pictures of blair and dan. "no, i don't believe this. i'm gonna go ask her myself" cassie told the group before she walked away
cassie walked into the washroom and saw blair at the mirror. "hey" cassie said softly and the brunette turned to her, "hi cassie" blair replied.
"b, whats going on? you don't talk to any of us anymore unless its important" cassie asked getting straight to the point. "wedding planning is consuming" she replied, "you've had your wedding planned since you were twelve" cassie said and blair gave her a look that she gave up and headed to the couch to tell her everything.
"blair, that nurse wasn't an angel" cassie placed a hand on the brunette's hands. "i know but one minute he was dead and the next he was alive" blair said. "it wasn't a miracle, it was modern medicine" cassie tilted her head, "chuck is fine now, god would understand you changed your mind" cassie said when she heard a voice at the door.
"um sorry to interrupt but i need to talk to blair" serena said and cassie got up. "b, you can't base the rest of your life on one desperate moment, god doesn't punish love. he wouldn't want you to marry someone you don't want to be with." cassie stated before leaving the washroom.
cassie walked around the party trying to find everyone when she heard voices coming from nate's office. she ran in to see nate, dan, chuck and louis, dan and a photo of dan and blair under secret affairs?
"woah woah woah, you can not publish that. dan and blair aren't having an affair" cassie said she shut the door. "exactly! thank you cassie. i swear to you guys we are not having an affair" dan said and cassie noticed nate playing with the buttons.
"nate, do not post it" cassie said, "cassie" nate pleaded, "hands off" cassie glared at him and he put his hands up. "
"if they aren't having an affair, then what is it?" chuck asked sternly. "hes having a relationship with me" serena said as she walked into the room.
"blair was only trying to help us keep our secret" serena said, "we wanted to see if it would work for us before we told our friends and families" dan told the group. "we never thought you guys would think dan and blair are together, thats even crazier then us being back together" serena awkwardly laughed.
"it certainly is" chuck said before leaving. "i'm glad no ones cheating but dude you really need some remedial honesty training" nate said as he swung his arm around his fiancée. "well i certainly hope this is the last of this cycle" cassie winked at the two as her and nate left the room.
cassie and nate spent the next half an hour talking to people and all of that until the 10 second timer until midnight started.
"i'm glad this years over" cassie widened her eyes as she stepped closer to nate. "well i'm happy to spend the next year and the rest of my life with you and our new addition" he smiled as she put his hands around his neck.
"happy new year!" the crowd shouted and cassie and nate both leaned in. "happy new year nate" cassie whispered as she pulled away and leaned her forehead against his, "happy new year cass" he smiled at the girl.
