CASSIE HAD GOTTEN A CALL TO MEET EVERYONE AT THE VANDERWOODSEN'S.
the blonde had entered the room to see lily, charlie, rufus, serena, blair, chuck, nate, ryan and aubrey already there. "oh hi guys!" cassie furrowed her brows, "hey cassie" they all said as she walked over to sit down.
"oh how's your wedding planning cassie?" charlie asked, "its pretty much all planned, i just have fitting for my dress after this, and oh i need to give everyone there wedding invites so have at it!" she tossed a dozen envelopes on the coffee table.
"so when are we getting our bridesmaid dresses?" blair asked and cassie's eyes widened, "and my maid of honor dress" aubrey smiled. "um about that, they want aurora to be my maid of honor. i'm so sorry, i tried to bargain but they're paying for the wedding" cassie looked over at her best friend who was stunned.
"but its your wedding! they can't decide who your bridesmaids are?" serena raised her voice. "i'll try to ask anastasia about getting you guys bridesmaid spots" cassie said as she noticed dan coming in.
"alright dan, whats going on? is there going to be another baby?" cassie asked, wanting to get to the point. "no cassie. you all know about the speculation about the book thats being published by an anonymous author?" dan asked and everyone nodded.
"gossip girl said it was about us" nate added. "its probably written by some loser who doesn't even know us" blair said and dan closed his eyes. "um well, i am that loser" dan told everyone and pulled out an "inside" book from his bag.
"i wrote it, and its based on all of you, well kind of" he said, handing everyone a book.
cassie flipped through the pages of dan's book quickly, when she saw a few pages that caught her eye. the blonde burst out into uncontrollable laughter and caught everyone's attention.
"whats so funny?" nate asked, "i think you should ask dan" cassie said with an obvious smile. "uh well, i might have made your character a little" dan paused trying to find the right word, "gay" cassie answered for him, still laughing.
"i hope thats okay" dan said as cassie laughed, "stop laughing cassie" he eyed her. "do i have game at least?" he asked and cassie nodded awkwardly to make him feel better.
"okay, well lets hope all this laughing made me lose a few calories because i need to go get fitted into my wedding dress" cassie chuckled as she got up.
"i am so proud of you son, i am gonna cancel my whole day, just so i can savor your book" rufus smiled.
"since everyone's leaving, read the book and maybe come support me tonight" dan said as the group dispersed.
an hour later cassie finally reached the westwood house for her fitting with anastasia. she was hoping it would be her time to bond with james's mom before the wedding but it didn't work too well for her.
"i am so sorry i'm late!" cassie apologized as she shut the door to the large room. "god, are you going to be this late on the wedding day?" anastasia asked while looking at a magazine. "no, no, just a bunch of traffic today" cassie breathed.
"rory's getting changed into her maid of honor dress so wait till shes done" anastasia said while cassie waited. "um, i was wondering, can my three best friends be bridesmaids in the wedding?" cassie asked and the woman was paying no attention to her. "who?" she asked back, "um, blair waldorf, aubrey collins and serena vanderwoodsen" cassie said and stacey looked up when she heard serena's name.
"lily humphrey's daughter?" she asked and cassie nodded, "she can be in the wedding, only her, i've got better bridesmaids" stacey rudely agreed when aurora came out, not so happy. "aurora, what happened lovely?" the woman ran up to her practically.
"cassidy have you seen the inside book?" rory asked and cassie shook her head. "you might want to read it" aurora told the girl and walked out.
cassie was in her wedding dress but she hated it. it was an itchy long sleeve with a low neck with gold accents all over, and the skirt was ruffly, big, and creme colored.
cassie was currently getting her hair and makeup done to show anastasia and aurora but she was also reading dan's book, she hated it aswell.
cassie's character, cassandra, or casey for short, was the opposite of who she was. cassandra was a girl who played with everyone's feelings, she was mean, shallow, selfish, and ignorant. dan wrote that casey had a new guy every week and could not stay loyal. none of this described cassie at all.
"oh cassidy, you look beautiful, just like stacey did" aurora looked at the girl with a soft smile. she then looked at cassie, who was not pleased. "i assume you read dan's book" she brought up the topic.
"the media's getting involved, its a mess cassidy. you need to do something" aurora said. cassie had gotten up to change and once she came out of the changing room she headed for the door, but turned to aurora.
"thanks for telling me about the book, if i hadn't known it would have turned into something bigger" cassie said, and aurora nodded. "of course" she smiled. "and i know our pasts with james make us a bit complicated, but you seem really nice and james really cares about you so i would love to get to know you" cassie said and aurora spoke up aswell, "i understand, and i wanna get to know you aswell" rory smiled and watched cassie leave.
cassie stormed into dans office at the book party. nate, aubrey, ryan, serena and blair have already yelled at him so now it was her turn.
"dan humphrey?! what the hell is wrong with you?" cassie pointed a finger to his chest. "calm down cassie! everyone else yelled at me already" dan stated. "well now its my turn" she crossed her arms.
"how could you write that about me? do you think its true?!" she questioned him, "no of course not! dylan hunter is a shallow-"
"enough! dylan hunter this, dylan hunter that! you try so hard to make us flawed but your exactly like us, your apart of our world dan humphrey!" cassie screamed before walking out.
