"for those who didn't hear, which is pretty much all of you, the party is over, go, now! before security gets involved"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A FEW WEEKS HAVE PASSED SINCE DAN AND CASSIE'S BREAKUP.  cassie and james have started to become closer friends with occasional benefits, but thats been a secret since they work together and they both wanted to get to know eachother before they start dating.

the two were on their way back from lunch when they were approached by a swarm of fans and paparazzi.

this was probably because of the fact that they know that one of the most popular actors is working with the  popstar princess.

"cassidy, james! when is this album coming out?" a news reporter shoved her microphone in cassidy's face. she looked over at james before speaking, "we don't really know yet, its still in the works" cassie said still looking at james. "shes right, were aiming for a few months or by the end of the year. however long cass takes to write, my job is to look pretty" he laughed.

"me? writing alone? oh your helping honey" she nudged his arm while smiling. "is there something else going on between you two?" a fan asked loudly and the two turned to the camera, not knowing what to say.

"were just friends guys, don't misunderstand things" james said ready to leave. "exactly, we should get going james" cassie turned to him.

"can i get a photo with you cassidy?" a fan asked the girl, and cassie smiled, "of course"

while she was taking a few pictures with fans, she heard someone ask james, "what happened to aurora, james?"

cassie knew they were talking about aurora lynn aves, james's costar in the silence of space movies, but she thought they were just friends even though the media thought completely different, since she knew how they love to assume things.

once the two got into james's car, cassie spoke up. "what happened between you and aurora" she asked softly, and james went silent. "nothing" he said, looking away. "if we're going to become a thing, eventually. i'm gonna wanna know what happened between you two" cassie said and james looked back at her.

"when me and rory first met during the first movie, we clicked immediately and became best friends. by the end i started to fall for her but she was just getting out of bad relationship" james started.

"and by the second movie, she loved me too and we loved eachother in secret since she didn't want to face the public yet. we really loved eachother"

"thats why you guys won awards, your chemistry was off the charts" cassie pressed her lips together.  "yeah" he paused.

"by the start of the third movie, people had caught us together and rumors spread but we didn't talk about it. i loved her so much. but her ex ended up finding out and wanted her back" he stopped speaking, but cassie understood the whole story.

"james, i am so sorry. she doesn't deserve you, she never did" cassie hugged the westwood.

that night cassie entered chuck's party and saw serena who was looking pretty anxious which wasn't normal since she's well serena vanderwoodsen.

"s? whats wrong?" cassie grabbed the blonde's hands. "ben has the affidavit that could put my mother in jail, this is all my fault" serena stammered. "oh my god. its not your fault at all s, this possibly could be a misunderstanding, go talk to him" cassie told the girl and they started to walk forward until blair came.

cassie had really nothing against blair. sure she was kinda weirded out she would hang out with her boyfriend while they were dating but they were friends, kinda? it was just super awkward to be around her since her boyfriend liked her so she didn't go the extra mile for her much as she used to.

"hey, um did you guys see the post on gossip girl about some huge secret coming out tonight?" blair asked the two. "i hadn't even thought about it" cassie responded, "i think i know what its about" serena let out a breath.

"ben has the affidavit that could put my mother in jail, we think he gave it to russell who's gonna try to blackmail my mom and chuck with it" serena ranted and cassie put a hand on her shoulder. "oh my god s, i am so sorry" blair said.

"cassidy, serena, hey, listen its really not that big of a deal" dan started and cassie and serena gave him a confused look. "impolite to interrupt, humphrey" blair stopped him. "go talk to ben serena" cassie told the blonde and she nodded and walked off, leaving cassie, dan and blair.

"um so" dan said and cassie looked around looking for a way to exit this conversation. "i'm gonna go" cassie let out an awkward laugh before leaving. "au revoir" she walked between the two.

a while later cassie reconnected with serena, as they talked about ben. "i should have never believed he would do that" serena smacked her head as the girls walked. "don't beat yourself up, anyone would have thought that" cassie said as they stopped in front of chuck, who looked very over whelmed.

"chuck? you alright?" cassie furrowed her brows. "shut it down" he said sternly. "what?" serena asked not understanding what happened. "this, all of this. shut it down, now" he stated before walking away.

"come with me" cassie headed over to the stage with serena. "um everyone! sorry to interrupt, but something came up, the party's over!" serena  said into the microphone but everyone ignored her. "please leave now" serena said a bit louder but once again everyone ignored the girl and cassie's patience was getting shorter, and she was getting annoyed.

"for those who didn't hear, which is pretty much all of you, the party is over, go, now! before security gets involved" cassidy snatched the microphone and slightly yelled into it, scaring everyone off.

cassie was really worried for chuck so she went down to the place she knew he would be, the bar. she sat down on the seat next to him and let out a breath.

"wheres blair?" he asked, "no, she left a while ago, i'm assuming she went home" cassie paused, "chuck, talk to me, lily turned herself in to protect you. why'd you shut down the party?" cassie asked.

"nothing to celebrate" he stated, "what are you talking about? the company is safe, you're the head of your father's empire, its what you wanted" the blonde tried to understand whats going on.

"what i wanted? all i wanted was to know him, for him to let me in, he lied to me until the day he died" chuck raised his voice. cassie understood and related to him but she was still very confused.

"i need to talk to blair shes the only one who would understand" he poured himself another drink but cassie snatched the bottle from him.

"chuck, maybe you should go upstairs, get some sleep, come on" she pulled him up.  "i have to find her" he ran off, "i'll drive" she ran after him.
